based on a number of pieces, this is a pretty bad deal right? Saturn V (while boring AF to build) has double the pieces for often only $20-30 more?

It's a bad deal in terms of complexity and price. But in terms of nostalgia and attention to detail for the fan, it's a good deal

Agreed, this is extremely cool as a fan of the show but it should be less than half the price; it's figures, furniture, and a wall.

Yeah - I'm a HUGE fan - I have seen each episode at least forty times.

But is it worth the cost?

I'd be far more interested in the apartments for $90.. =/ so pricey. But still considering it; it's a nice date night in and then we can take it apart and give it to a child in need.

Dang, over 200 days non-stop for 40 rewatches of the series. You sort of need to buy it don't you?

Based on a 40 hour work week (if you watched 8 hours a day), you spent over 2 years watching the series. Bravo.

I think its on par with their pricing structure, I believe its an average of $0.10 cents a piece, this definitely varies by set but this Friends set avg. $0.084/piece while the Saturn set avg $0.076/piece

Imperial star destroyer is ~$0.17/piece
Volkswagen beetle is ~$0.11/piece

Hahaha right?! I mean it seems like blasphemy not to buy it, especially since I had actually messaged people on Kijiji who were selling these sets when they last went out of stock.

But at the same time, what would I actually do with it once it is built? It isn't like you get the satisfaction of a challenging build the way you do with a Technic - and I don't think the girlfriend would want to display it, so... So torn.

None of my lego sets fit in my tiny 1br condo, but for me it's enjoying the build and then passing it on to some kid in the family to build.

That's actually not hard.... I put on shows in the background while i do chores (Laundry/Cooking/ect)... I believe most people are like this.

And not sure where you learned math... but it's less than 2 years. There's 236 episodes, 40 times, 22 mins per episode. There's about 2,000 hours per year (work weeks). Friends would take you around 3,461 hours to rewatch it 40 times.
