I was able to order one, but it certainly did sell out quick.

Just snagged one before looking at this thread. It still says that it in stock.
Got it from the Lenovo SMB site for $643.49 + 10% Rakuten cash back.

edit: ok OOS now, I guess waking up early on a holiday has its benefits

SODIMM upgradeable?

No but 8GB DDR4@3200 combo-ed with PCI-e 3.0 4x SSD, I dont think you need to upgrade the RAM
plus the processor is very very fast.

Judging by the amount of viewers on this thread, and how quickly this sale sold out, I assume there are a ton of people waiting for a great laptop deal right now. I've been checking RFD obsessively for the last 3 weeks for a deal like this, but there's barely anything other than this sold out laptop! Damnit!

It depends on the use case. A very fast CPU does not make up for a paltry 8GB allotment.

SSDs are no replacement for RAM.

These are desktop replacements for some folks.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say majority of the people who saw this and purchased it are lurkers/guests.

2.1GB is locked out by the processor GPU. You get what's left. Having no memory upgrade path from 6GB is a little dicey IMO.

I went for a quick bike ride and missed out on the deal, so much for focusing on my health lol. Having had a bad experience with the Asus TUF 15", this would have been perfect, especially for the price.

You should the Swift 3 instead. It has an metal body.

It has an 8 core 4700U, but RAM is not upgradeable and non-touchscreen. Some reviewers say build quality on even this one is bad.

It was listed for $480USD on the US site. Probably Slickdeals linked to it, too, and they shared the same amount of stock with the Canadian store.

They must've gimped the RAM upgrade path to maintain price differentiation with their higher models.

We were having too much fun with the Flex 14 adding 32GB SODIMMs like ballers.

2019 was a simpler time, folks.
