[Lenovo Canada] $506+tax - T34w-20 34-inch Curved Ultrawide w/USB Type-C

I noticed that this 34" curved ultra-wide with USB C dropped to $506 today with IBMEPP. If you follow the link it will apply the appropriate coupon.
There's an additional 12% if you try and use Rakuten today, but I'm not certain if IBMEPP items apply.

You're comparing apples to a steak.
The dell is 16:9, 32 inch, free sync premium - It's a monitor for gamers, and you're paying a premium for the gaming capabilities.
The lenovo is 21:9, 34 inch ultra wide, no free sync / gsync, with built in USB PD to charge your thinkpad - It's meant for office use, with integrated USB ports and a 1 cable solution for attaching a thinkpad. You're paying a premium for productivity features, while it wouldn't make a good gaming monitor.

Nope. Best deal is to stack it with student/teacher/military discount on ID.me.

You can't, it's either $506 no rakuten, or $575 - $69 (12% rakuten) = $506.
Nets out to the same.

Can you do this without a studdent / teacher / military id?

Nope. You can ask someone who has an email with the institution (not sure if this is actually required) with a valid id (needed for verification). On previous purchases, the ID.me account was from someone else but the Lenovo account was mine.

Someone talk me out of upgrading from Dell my 27" S2716DG to the curved 32" Dell S3220DGF... $450 with 10% coupon and 8% rakuten on top of that!

My current one: 27" has certified Gsync, TN panel
New one: 32" curved, Freesync certified but reported working with Gsync fine, VA panel

Thinking I can sell my old 27" maybe $350-400 after next week? Will eventually be paired up with a 3080 card whenever I can get one.

S2716DG is decent monitor and not worthy to upgrade to 3220dgf imho unless u really want a 32 inch monitor.

Depends what you want. The gaming version has Free Sync, but no USB hub or PD.
For me, this is office use, so I ordered this vs the gaming one. The "one cable solution" (one cable from monitor to thinkpad takes care of charging, display, and usb ports) is attractive to me as it gets rids of all the cords off my desk.

Thanks OP I got this.

About $300 more than the 31" and 27" that's on sale, but this has it's benefits for me.

- 3440x1440
- USB-C + Power Delivery
- Height Adjustable Stand
- Thin bezels.

This is much more future proof and will work well with my new M1 MacBook since it only has 2 USB-C ports.
