I'm really interested in this. Is the RAM upgradable? If so, maybe I'll get a 8GB configuration and then upgrade the RAM later?

Is the AMD Renoir in this PC the same as in the Dell Inspiron thread, which is using the latest AMD
CPU architecture?

How do I use the extension, use the Lenovo link, and still access Perkopolis to get the deal?
you install the chrome extension then a pop up shows up every time you visit an eligible site. the pop up prompts you to "activiate" rakuten cb and it brings you back to to the site. if it redirects you back to normal lenovo.ca, just close and open again.

based on this technical spec yes it has 2 so-dimm slots so you are good to upgrade

Renoir is the same silicon to Ryzen 4000U series of chips but with higher TDP, so clocks for both cpu and igpu are higher

Seems like the HDMI port is only version 1.4 and cannot do 4K at 60 Hz. The DisplayPort is also probably the older version 1.2. So even though the specs say it can drive three monitors, it seems only one can be 4K at 60 Hz and that one must be connected to the DisplayPort. Please point out if you can find anything to the contrary in the specs or in reviews.

Otherwise, it is a good little machine. However, for the same price, currently one can get a laptop with a comparable CPU plus a discrete GPU (plus display and battery) and faster ports.

I can get the M75q Ryzen 4650GE with 512 NVME HDD and 16GB ram with windows 10 for 796.00

or..

Asus PN50 - R5 Ryzen 4500u with 500GB NVME and 16GB ram No OS for 722.00

Which would be better to get?

I wonder if it's possible to configure a PC with the 4650GE with less RAM and smaller SSD to save money? I rather upgrade it myself later.

To big in size for my liking, I'm looking to downsize to the mini form factor.

I suppose with cloud gaming you don't need a fancy gaming video card, you just need something like this. this powerhouse would be great for traveling also, since it fits in a carry-on, plug into your hotel's tv with hdmi. tho I was thinking of building a tiny SFX system with a beefy videocard, except those can get expensive after you add it up

Thank you, I bought one. Not sure if Rakuten worked, but if I get 12% back, it'll be icing on the cake!

glad to see more members jumping on this .... given the dell lowered price to 649 over the weekend (but took away sign up code) ... the scope for that deal narrows more to just those who had unidays codes ... dont think i have any buyers remorse picking this guy up over the dell

its been days but the rakuten still hasnt showed up so as i suspected, using EPP portal is no good with 12% rakuten, oh well

Yea, nothing. Even my Dell orders have showed up already. I was really debating this and the X1C.

For the build your own option you can remove keyboard, mouse, and stand if you don't need them. About $25-26 less.

Interesting that if I remove the storage, it actually ends up being more expensive in the end. If I add a 500GB hard drive and go with 4GB of RAM, since I can always upgrade it myself, I can get it as low as $570. Very tempting to cancel and re-purchase...

Don't bother putting in a custom order. I tried to just get the base 4350 (4650 was another $120) with 4GB RAM (one stick is required) and 500GB (one drive required and this was cheaper than the 128GB SSD) with the USB-C, wifi and filter and it came out to $511 but it gave a delivery date of April 2021. Don't mind waiting 5 weeks which I thought was the timeline but didn't want to wait the 5 months. I just bought the M75q-1 with the 3400ge for $699 and thought this would be a nice little upgrade but its still working extremely well so I'll just keep it.

Because when you remove HDD it adds SSD automatically.
