Any idea how this compares to the Ideapad 5 that just had its deal die?

So it appears many of their $700-800 Ryzen notebooks have soldered RAM.

This is one of the few that doesn't have 8/16 soldered without being able to upgrade

I personally will never buy a Lenovo again. My ideapad S940 has failed twice after 1 year, fortunately I bought the 3 year warranty. Their technical support is absolutely the worst. Once you get assigned to a technician, the technicians are good.

14" vs 15"
16GB vs 8GB
Touchscreen is a big plus on 14" but still a good feature for 15.6".
Less battery life.

People around you may have weaken immune system (or live with one). Wear a mask if possible, especially if you have cold symptoms.

I wonder when Lenovo will get ANY ThinkBooks back in stock (13" and 14"). How many weeks has it been now? Is this due to some 'chip shortage' nonsense, or are they about to finally release the ThinkBooks they announced at CES in January?

I feel like they're still trying to keep up with Enterprise demand, as many companies had to binge shop laptops for employees to enable WFH in the past 18 months.

Chip shortage.

Similar SMB models like Dell Vostro models aren't shipping until October-November. The lower end stuff like IdeaPad and Inspiron, where they throw in a random assortment of parts is easier to fulfill. The SMB stuff where they guarantee an Intel wireless or Ethernet for performance is more difficult. When the parts are available, they're prioritized for ThinkPad and Latitude models for higher margins.

Web Price: $649.99
After Instant Savings: $518.99
After eCoupon: $492.99
Savings: $157.00

Panel Type - VA

I've been looking for 34" ultrawide monitors lately. As far as VA panel goes $500 is pretty regular price like this one.
