Sign up fo lenovo rewards for 10,773 reward points = $10.77

After tax and shipping to an Ontario address the total was $202.89

----------

Since there seems to be a lot of confusion and fomo, I want to point out this chromebook has a specific use. This is great for a child's first laptop, elderly, light browsing/email, streaming games and movies. This is NOT a work horse, multitasker or gaming machine.

Saw this at the bottom of one of lenovos emails received this morning.

The best black Friday deal of the year is back tomorrow, November 28th at 9am ET.

The reg price of $799 is inflated but this is still an exceptional deal.

Don't forget rakuten and sign up to lenovo rewards for $10 off your first order, it does stack.

ThinkPad C13 Yoga Chromebook (13”) - Abyss Blue for $189 - $10 (GREETINGS1) = $179

I got it last round. After roughly a week of of use, my summary is “Very solidly built and reasonably priced (at sub $200) but too weak to be enjoyable”.

Great for my purposes as a banking/broker machine. If SimpleTax's privacy policy wasn't so shady, I'd probably use it for that too.

What about Google / Chrome privacy policy?

I don't yet know where passwords saved by ChromeOS live. Do they live on device or in cloud? I know with FireFox on my desktop, I can save them on my device and not in the cloud. FF offers cloud storage but you can say no; Chrome doesn't ask me, as far as I can remember.

Agree, I bought one during the summer sale but it went back in a day. The screen is amazing for the price, literally better than my Lenovo Thinkbook, but it stuttered badly when just web browsing in two open tabs. I guess for $189 that's ok for kids who can suck it up or the elderly, but I'm not having that in 2022.

I ordered on 23rd past week for same price of 189, but after reading this thread now i am confused if i should cancel the shipment. Is there a chance of getting similar stylus etc but with better CPU, ram and storage with some etc money (like $20-50) on boxing day?

With 4Gb RAM and non-upgradable. This is e-waste.

I do not think so. Lenovo sold a version with same CPU and RAM but with 128GB SSD for $300 ($244 on eBay) recently.

[eBay.ca] Lenovo ThinkPad C13 Yoga Chromebook - Ebay Lenovo Store - $305.92 - 20% = $244.74 + tax

How is Xbox game pass on this?

Tempted to get it if the screen is as nice as everyone is saying, and the battery life is that epic. Was about to get another tablet but I'd prefer a 13" over 11.

This could also be a very good Jellyfin movie player for lounging around the house or backyard if the screen isn't glossy.

They've got a 30 day return policy, even if used. How that is executed is anyone's guess.

How important is speaker sound for you? lol
Probably the best Chromebook you can get at this price, but Chromebooks aren't a tall standard. The screen and battery life are epic, as is the build quality. At the end of the day, it's still a Chromebook with 4 GB RAM, but it is also $189.
13" tablet is awesome...Dudebro's gf forced him to buy her a $1700 12.2" iPad pro. This is still bigger, and we get a pen. And you can probably beat someone to do death with this with its build quality.

Also I believe the last two go arounds of this deal the unit didn’t have the fingerprint reader or world facing camera, looks like this one will. Looks like they are trying to get rid of all inventory, one model of the C13 at a time. Debating if those two features are worth ordering again and returning the previous one?
