how's this one comparing to the alienware r8 for 1400 (pre-tax) last year from costco? r8 has 2070 comparing to this 2060. 256+1T. not sure about the ram in this one, and the cpu in r8.

is the PSU 650w or 400w, not clear in Specs.

Based on spec sheet, it looks like a 650W is being used.

I'd say the Costco Alienware was the better deal - hard to beat a better CPU and GPU for just ~$180 more.
But this build is comparable to building one yourself using the most modest parts.

How does this compare to the t730 price error in terms of tower? Smaller? Cuter?

Is anyone else having issues getting to the product after going through Rakuten? OP's link works fine for me, but whenever I click on the Tower 5i through normal navigation of their site it won't load for me. Tried in two different browsers and with cookies and cache cleared

It was very flaky for me until I turned off uBlock Origin for the entire Lenovo site.

agree, i remember the r8 has i5-9600k, correct me if i'm wrong, psu 550w. more importantly, costco's return policy is much more generous, 90 days, with lenovo, 14 or 30? plus, the customer service of lenovo is one of the worst i have ever had, worse than dell at least.

Looks like around ~$1500 if you do the build yourself
we don't know what ram, ssd in it though, like last year's r8 from costco, some lucky ones get kingston ram some got generic ram with much inferior performance, and also generic ssds are much more problem prone.

how big of an upgrade is this PC over an i7-6700k amd rx 480 ? 16gb ram. Im curious if i should just buy this legion pc with student discount over building a computer.
