I tried a few times between 5pm - 5:45pm and was unable to add to the cart via Rakuten.
Hopefully Lenovo re-stock again before 10% CB ends.
It's still showing available on the Lenovo site

Thanks for the info.
Finally able to add to the cart and ordered one.
I found that I needed to enable 'tracking' as a trust site on FF's ghostery add-on.

Does anyone else have a rattly touchpad? It becomes really apparent when the touchpad is upside down, i.e. tablet mode.

That was quick (for Lenovo)
Ordered Sep 12. Shipped today, expected Friday.
In comparison to the 300e, which was ordered Aug 13, shipped Sep 8 and arrived today.
Will be installing an SSD and installing Linux and maybe try ChromeOS as well. Pictures and benchmarks to follow..I have 2 SSDs to try

For those interested, here are some benchmarks comparing the eMMC to the popular Samsung SSD from amazon https://www.amazon.ca/Samsung-MZALQ256B ... da4dea34d6

I've also added some benches with the 300e (eMMC and Samsung SSD). Odd that the Samsung SSD seems so much slower, will retest again tomorrow with a different SSD on the 300e and the 500w.

I agree, should not be that big a gap in sequential read performance. Maybe the Intel processor has better PCIe transfer performance over AMD.

The 300e 2nd Gen (AMD) has a PCIe® NVMe®, PCIe 3.0 x2 interface

The 500w Gen 3 (Intel) has a PCIe NVMe®, PCIe 3.0 x4 interface

Thanks for sharing @goofball! Seems the Hynix is faster at Write speeds than the Samsung, although not sure what the RND4K metrics mean?

More directly, this is the Hynix on the 300e and the 500w

Installed Linux Mint 21. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, audio, touchpad, and touchscreen/stylus all work. The only thing that doesn't work well so far is the webcam. It shows green/purple lines all over. Will see about getting an updated driver for it.

Do you see the visit to the Lenovo site on the 12th? Mine is still showing $0 but it sees the visit. Also asks to give them up to 2 weeks to process

I did not create an account with Lenovo as I had a bad experience (long ago) that someone 'hacked' it.
Luckily, I did not save the payment method on that Lenovo account.
I left it as it was locked for good along with the email account (which was also compromised) .

Anyway, the steps that I always do:
I clicked/visited Lenovo from Rakuten as usual.
(Rakuten showed that visit's ticket number on my shopping trip tab.)
I stayed on that same lenovo link/page where I looked for 500w to purchase.
All through to the end with a printout of the order on my PC.

My last Lenovo purchase was 4-5 mths ago.
I checked my Rakuten account 3 days after it shipped.
The CB was already posted.
Somehow, the CB was even 'bigger' than the posted rebate. Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes

It seems that Rakuten is somewhat "losing touch" / lagging now and then
I have to submit 2-3 queries out of 5 purchases (non-lenovo) to get the CB posted.

Well, I will query next week with Rakuten if CB is still no show. Neutral Face

BTW, thanks for your help/info. I ordered Samsung M.2 PCIe NVME 256g from Amazon Canada.
Hopefully it is easy to open the casing to install inside compared with SATA 2.5in slots.
(haha ... my hands are not that steady ... butter-finger esp with small fragile items)

It's really easy. No hidden screws. You'll need a mini screwdriver, and something to pry it open and run along the edge to free from the snaps. I used a guitar pick and an old credit card. No surgery so no steady hands are needed.
I hope you have an m.2 screw handy.
