going to be keeping a close eye on the legion 81Q40008US

17" 1920x1080 @ 144hz, i7 9750h, rtx 2060, 16 gb ram

$1489.99

hopefully the extra5 coupon will work (5% off) along with 6% ebate

$1358 or so all in. Was cheaper back in may but still a decent deal.

Sorry to come across rude. But in less than a second I could tell this wasn't a desktop.

Here are two near effortless methods so you can tell for yourself next time:
  1. Double click 81Q40008US then right click then "search web for ..."
  2. 17" and/or 1920x1080 and/or 144Hz are all display specs

wth...a lot of those prices are higher than they have been the past weeks..do they think people are that stupid
Yes, that's standard operating procedure at Lenovo. Bump the MSRP prices way up prior to an upcoming sale, then discount the products slightly from what their original selling price was, all the while claiming "deals" of "up to 78% off!". Some of the prices they're showing are decent, but others ... the 7th gen X1 Carbon? They had the entry level version available for $1300ish a few weeks ago (and a few weeks before that, etc).

I hear Lenovo laptops sometimes have screen flickering issues. I know my yoga 900 screen flickers, but there's a crack in my screen so it could easily be because of that.
+1. My Lenovo Flex 5 has flickering issues. No crack on my screen.

Meh - its been within $50 in past deals. This is typical Lenovo false marketing - display high MSRP, make it look like some crazy deal when it's not.

I really wanted to go with an X1 but it just might be an XPS 13....

I always find it amusing that hard core RFD'ers think Lenovo is dumb or whatever.
Most people aren't looking and comparing prices from week to week. The savvy consumers are not a concern for Lenovo, they care about the masses.

I would say there are a lot of deals for Lenovo products with this roll out. Many would benefit from buying during this black friday.

You guys have to remember that companies aren't catering to the deal savvy consumer, but rather the masses.

There are many great deals on laptops with this flyer.

I want to buy a 14w, but when I click on the link it redirects me to Lenovo page with regular price $240. How can I get the displayed price $169?

It's right there in the ad, the sale price is on Cyber Monday.
