Looks like a solid deal but I think some flip 2-in-1 laptops have even more limited cooling capacity than similar weight ultrabooks. The Thinkbook x13 has LPDDR4-4266 or something and this has DDR4-3200. So there's likely a difference in memory performance already. The 11th gen Intel chips have 15W or 28W power implementations. At 15W, they're not much better than 10th gen aside from much improved graphics. At 28W, they get a nice 25% bump.

Note also that difference in memory and CPU power implementations also has an effect on graphics performance. The change in memory speed affects graphics performance up to 30% or so depending on the game. Here's a general review but it's not really comparable to this specific laptop since there's no indication of which power implementation it is. However it does show gaming performance differences with the two memory setups that Lenovo is offering. https://www.techspot.com/review/2158-in ... i7-1165g7/

If you care more about 2-in-1 flip book, this is pretty nice with 16GB memory (I consider essential for keeping it for 3-5yrs as primary computer) and good sized and speed SSD. If you want a bit more performance, try Thinkbook X13 which seems like there's a similar sale going on.

Pulled the trigger and got one, thanks OP

I had the Flex 5 14 Ryzen 4700U from BF but was always bothered about the nonupgradeable / soldered 8GB RAM. It was $8xx and I added the 3 yr accidental protection, brought it to $1030 shipped.

This deal is the same price but there is no option of the 3yr protection Confused Face.

Was buying this for my 12yo so the protection was piece of mind.

Both RAM on 13 is soldered. On the 14 one RAM is upgradable.

Great price for a nice machine that can be expanded to 40GB with a 32GB SODIMM. Another plus is the extra M.2 slot for a second SSD.
