[Lenovo Canada] Lenovo Chromebook Duet (10.1") 2 in 1 - $330 - 12% Rakuten = $272

Seems like a good price for a Chromebook that will get an update until 2028. Although, beware 4GB RAM and EMMC Storage if those specs matter, because it might be worth spending a bit more for the Ipad RBC offer ($320) if CPU matters.

Processor: MediaTek™ Helio P60T Processor (2.00 GHz, 8 Cores, 8 Threads)
Operating System: Chrome OS
Display Type: 10.1" FHD (1920 x 1200) IPS, glossy, touchscreen, 400 nits
Memory: 4 GB LPDDR4X (Soldered)
Hard Drive: 64 GB eMMC

Price: $330
Rakuten: 12%
Student Discount: 5% (does not work)
Total before tax: $290 ($272 with perkopolis code: GoldPerk2020)

Edit:
  • No SD card reader
  • Keyboard included (track pad is small, so might consider a mouse)
  • Quoting bhrm: "Also big perk: It comes with 3 months of Stadia even if you have an existing subscription, and 1 year of Google One and 3 months of YouTube Premium! That in itself is $100 of freebies."

Not bad for that price but 64Gb in almost 2021... God kills a cat for every duet sold with that storage. Thanks for posting though!

No SD card either. But since Chromebook primarily gears toward web browser, it might be the right device for the targeted audience

Is Rakuten discount good for tomorrow as well, in case they drop the price further?

Very good machine, quality screen, solid construction, included keyboard. My 2 sons both own this machine, and they like it pretty much. One of them even play games through Stadia with a Playstation Controller connected to the USB-C port.
Also, my older son bought the Lenovo USI stylus and it works very well with the Duet.
No regrets here.
However, plan to buy a screen protector (I bought tempered glass), because the keyboard can mark the screen (like a Yoga tablet...)

Just want to remind everyone that:

This is the US version, which means it has a standard US keyboard, unlike Bestbuy and Staples's version that has Bi-Lingual KB with french layout.

Lowest price b4 this BF promotion is $299 from Staples

Can anyone confirm if the Play store works on this model ?
The google chrome support page doesn't list this specific model as having support... I assume we can just download APKs but since I've never used a chromebook I'm not certain.

Not an owner but reviews say yes. They even mention gaming

This Chromebook is generally great, except the maximum resolution on HDMI out is 1280x720. Only a problem if you use HDMI (eg instead of Chromecast), and higher resolution is important.

My teacher discount doesn't work either.

Has anybody gotten the two offers to stack successfully?

How do you get both Perk and Rakuten? Don't you have to enter from one portal or the other?

Hey there,

If anyone is interested in the Lenovo Chromebook Duet, it's on sale directly from Lenovo for $329. The regularly listed price of $414 is ridiculous, considering Best Buy sells the 128 GB version (but bilingual keyboard) for $399 normally (also currently on sale for $369). I actually bought it for the same price 2 days ago, as I got them to price match it from Staples (their sale is now over). While I really would much prefer to get the 128 GB version, it's not available at Lenovo. I choose the US keyboard over the 128 GB, as I think long term, the bilingual keyboard would drive me more insane. Sale ends today and it looks like they're selling a limited number at this price (as of now, 66% through). This seemed like the only way I could find the US keyboard in Canada without getting it imported.

Also, if you use Rakuten, you can get an additional 12% right now. So price gets down to $290. I actually just cancelled my original order and re-ordered it through Rakuten.

Good deal (as I'm typing on my own Duet).

no idea they offered the US keyboard version!!! As for 128 gig size, unless you're loading up your tablet with large games you won't miss the extra 64 gig on a Chromebook.

I see there is no SD card slot, no pen..
Wish there is a way to increase storage.

Thank you
