Some facts for folks, as to why you should be buying this unit.

Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1
Ryzen 3700U + Vega 10
14.0" FHD (1920x1080) IPS, glossy, multi-touch [250 to 300 nits]
8Gb RAM [2x4GB, One SODIMM slot, One soldered]
512GB NVMe SSD
0.7" Thick

Think about that. You're getting the highest end Ryzen U-Series chip with the solid Vega 10 onboard graphics. You're getting a 2-in-1 with a 10-point multi-touch screen, where Windows 10 supports tablet mode. Also, since when are laptop makers including impressively large 512GB NVMe SSDs at this price point? All that device for only 0.7" of thickness.

Did I mention the upgrade option?
- NVMe SSD is replaceable.
- One SODIMM slot available, ergo, possibilities:
==> 4GB onboard + 16GB SODIMM = 20GB RAM [$80 CAD 16GB SODIMM]
==> 4GB onboard + 32GB SODIMM = 36GB RAM [$206 CAD 32GB SODIMM]

The price? ... See below, it's solid.

All you need to do is sign up as a business.

In Canada, the definition of a business is pretty loose, and sole proprietors operating without an incorporated entity are also considered businesses... calling yourself 'Bill's Landscaping' is good enough in many cases. Lenovo doesn't check or care, except when they suspect you're ordering en-masse for resale... something only a licensed reseller should be able to do.

SAVEMORE still works, but takes the 10% off the initial price of $919. So it's not a good deal to use.
Coupon FLEXSAVINGS takes off $230. Bringing it to $689.99
Military/Student/Teacher rebate can't be applied..because well, you are supposed to be a company.
You'll get $68.90 cashack from Rakuten.

Edit: added the Lenovo SMB pricing.

Interesting to see the Ryzen 7 is cheaper than the Ryzen 5 model. And the two Ryzen 5 models are identical from what I can see, one just costs less. Seriously the Lenovo pricing algorithm is a mystery.

Good deal, cheaper than Amazon USA for a higher build.

Upgradeable to 36GB RAM with a 32GB SODIMM.

Stock Specs:
Ryzen 3700U
14.0" FHD (1920x1080) IPS, glossy, multi-touch [250 to 300 nits]
8Gb RAM
512GB NVMe SSD

Winning option.

Has my vote.

You'll do well.

If you want a cost effective RAM upgrades, here's a 16gb RAM module pushing you up to 20GB.

Patriot Viper Steel DDR4 16GB 2666MHz CL18 SODIMM Memory Module
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07QMPTNXY/

When you do the upgrade, you'll have a metal cover that pops right off before you slide in the SODIMM.

Will this have any negative effect on the video card? I have been out of the laptop game for a LONG time

You'll be fine. It won't negatively impact shared video RAM, and will improve performance if you're a heavy laptop user.

I seriously considered this laptop though Amazon USA and only passed because it's not suit and tie appropriate (too flashy). I will probably be getting a Thinkpad with the same specs for more money (business users are reamed typically). If I were me 5 years ago, I would've already bought this.

Lenovo continues to fail to give proper status updates leaving us clueless when the desktops will actually be delivered. Original ship date was two weeks at the time of order, be careful, if you need this laptop quickly.
How many of you actually managed to get an order in during the 12 minutes it was alive??

That's a very long time to wait though. My family's laptops were manufactured and delivered from China within 20 days.

Glossy screen, yuck.
Nobody cares which exploitative corporations you give your money to every month. Capitalism is a plague on this planet. Get that crap out of your signature.

Glass is necessary for touch. Some of the highend XPS units use antiglare glass but they're $2k.

Ordered it at 730 for the ryzen 7 configuration, is the thermal throttling on the CPU/GPU is really that bad as shown on some video on Youtube?

What do you find flashy and not business like on this model?
It's a black laptop without any colors or stripes.
The tapered sides?

Anyway it seems like the deal is dead. Price jumped to $820.

EDIT: my bad, it is not dead. Still on
