[Lenovo Canada] Lenovo i7-7500U, 1 TB SSD, 16 gigs Ram, FHD laptop - $1096

Amazing deal on a 710S plus touch Ultrabook. Less than 3 pounds for one hell of a future proof laptop. 7th gen Inte processor, huge 1 TB PCIE SSD, 16 gigs of ram soldered on, and a 1920X1080 Touch display. Machine gets phenomenal reviews and should future proof anyone who isn’t a gamer for a significant while. Hardware 4K playback to an external monitor possible. All aluminum chassis for premium feel.

Reviews says about 8 hours battery life.

About $1240 taxes in.

Login is FNDEPP

Great deal for a very solid Ultrabook.

FNDEPP , you may need to try and login twice on Firefox for some odd reason.

there's a Yoga 910 for the same price
Isn't that a better deal?

That depends, the yoga has half the ram and 1/4 the SSD space.

A 1 tB SSD is great for me.

Agreed. To call this a "future proof" laptop is a bit optimistic considering the 8th. gen base i5-8250U mostly blows the previous gen i7 out of the water.

Decent deal still.

Anyone know if you can use one of those pens on this thing? Not just to scroll up and down but to actually draw in ms paint or whatever?

Can we remove this SSD and use it in MacBook Pro?

I have an multitouch touchscreen on my daughter's PCs, and it came with a pen, but it is pretty useless for anything more that tapping and super basic stuff. I'd assume this would be very similar.
Since daughter wanted to experiment with some digital drawing, and I didn't want to spend the $$$ on a wacom tablet, I decided to go cheap and picked up one of these:

Overall, it is pretty impressive for the price. Can detect 8192 Pressure Sensitivity levels, which is nice, and has quite a few shortcut express/softkeys which you can customize for different functions. She is using it with Kirta and Photoshop CC, and she seems to be pretty pleased with it.

And since it was fulfilled by amazon, I figured, if it really didn't work as expected, i would be able to just return it.

For all of those that bought this laptop (and it seems like there is a a few of us) you can get a rubber keyboard cover for this thing off Aliexpress for about 5 bucks. Good to have for those times when you having a few wobbly pops on the computer and......well you know the rest..

Anyone know the performance of that SSD in there? Or a review on this specific model, with 16 GB of ram? This is quite an attractive price...
