Tempted to get this and return the defunct X1G2 since they can't seem to fix the keyboard issue (missing keystrokes).

Wow, 230 watts. Good catch! The pictures on the reviews of the power supply does look like a normal sized brick though.

Not seeing in technical specs if USB-C has Thunderbolt 3 and if it does is it 2 or 4 lanes of bandwidth?

3 Cell Li-Polymer, 57Wh internal battery is going to be very brief when unplugged. Should be at least 90Wh for the specs.

There is nothing in the tech specs to indicate it has Thunderbolt. Good catch!

despite no TB3 after 9% cashback before taxes it's $1347. Has this exact model and specs ever been lower with cashback?

I get about 2-3 hours on battery at best, on the last year's model I picked up for under $600. But the ssd in this should actually read as nvme m.2, so will be better than you expect. This new model looks like it is just a spec bump, with a new cpu and new GPU. Haven't tried to see if I can hook up 3 monitors yet to it, but it does have three different connections for it, including the USB-C. I mean, it's a beast, but it's not a highly portable beast.

i am murmuring to myself repeatedly that "electronics depreciate faster than cars" to stop myself from pulling the trigger.

Upvoted this post on the basis of the generic "witness protection" name of poster with what may or may not be a generic headshot also pulled off google images....LOL thx for the laugh!
