[Lenovo Canada] Lenovo Yoga 720 15(i7 7th gen,16g,256g ssd,1050 2g) -$1092

Pretty hot for those who looking for a laptop can both work and light gaming, although it is 7th gen i7, this is i7 7700hq, almost the same as i5-8250.
And ebates is 8% now.

Do the 720s have the same screen flickering problems that the 730s have?

Most screen flickering problems are caused by setting or drivers of the graphics, it is common for new released laptop. Since this one has been released for more than one year, the updates of bios have already dealt with those problems. Also I purchased this one at $1200 and received last week, so far so good. Lenovo Active Pen(gen 1) works well on this if anyone interested in its 2 in 1 feature. But the pen is sold separately(~$30).

That's also a steal. I campared these two and 730 is obviously better than 720 if you don't have any gaming purpose. 730 has throttling issue since it's tdp is locked as an ultrabook. Hopefully you can get a further bios update to fix this problem.

I play Fortnite and League, hopefully it's not bad for those two. They aren't really demanding games

Thinking of jumping on this deal, but I was wondering if HQ processor takes up a lot of battery?

I want to pick this one up, but I'm a student a need a computer that has good battery life. So, I'm not sure if HQ processor will drain too much battery. On the spec, it says 8 hours, but not sure how true it is.

Yes, it does. Also the 4k screen does as well. But on the other side, it's 2 in 1 so you can take notes on your laptop. It is pretty good for students who is studying maths or design.

As far as I know, 720 comes with Thunderbolt 3, but its connection is wired to just 2 PCIe lanes.

It says 8 hours on UHD, but would it last longer if the settings were on 1920 x 1080?

In addition, would a yoga 730 that has a similar spec, except it has i7 8550u process yield longer lasting battery?

Wow, wish this deal was around 6 months ago when I bought my Dell Inspiron for about $1100 with a 4 year warranty

This Lenovo you've linked is $1,236.29 with a 3 year on-site warranty AND accidental damage protection for drops and things

Great deal for a laptop with an actual video card, a touchscreen, and 16GB of RAM
