MyLenovo Rewards Program Launched in Canada

For anyone who is a regular buyer of Lenovo products, here's a chance for you to double/multi dip if you're already buying through sites like Rakuten along with credit card rewards, fire sales, etc. Lenovo has launched their MyLenovo Rewards program in Canada.

About MyLenovo Rewards:
  • Almost every purchase gets 3%-9% back in rewards points
  • There is no minimum spend (you can start earning rewards right away)
  • All points can be applied to future purchases
  • Every 1,000 points awarded is $1
  • Your available rewards will apply automatically in cart
  • Ways to earn points besides purchasing on Lenovo.com include completing polls, surveys, and filling out your profile information
  • Perks include frequent sweepstakes, multiplier bonus events (2X or 6% back and 3X or 9% back) birthday rewards, first access to new products, and exclusive member only savings

This might be a good deal, but it is a points-based program. So keep in mind that anytime in the future, there's nothing to stop Lenovo from devaluing points or requiring more points to redeem.
Why settle for full retail price when you can wait and get it at a lower price for better value (even better if there's a bundled freebies deal)? 😉

Points expire after 365-days of inactivity.
You also get points for completing your profile:
+100 to look at perks
+1000 want to know you
+1000 Zip code
+1000 for birthday
+1000 answer questions (knowledge)
Easy 4100-points but only if you plan on using them soon. Maybe save them for when you plan on using them.

Thanks for the expiry note. Yes, all loyalty programs now have a built-in expiry date on them so they don't end up with a massive amount of unused points on their books and to make sure they're still making money from active members who are banking their points. It's a tax and financial liability seeing they legally owe x amount on their books, that if all their loyalty members "cash in" all their points collectively at once, the company would be insolvent. Kind of the points equivalent of having a run on the bank even though the points "have no cash value" and not convertible to cash.
