Not a bad price of you want to use this as a digital picture frame (I use the Android app Fotoo with my old 10" Lenovo tablet).

Hmm... This looks good for ActionTiles. Can anyone attest?

Last time I got a Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 (B8000) for my inlaws, it crapped out 13 months later, just goes in a boot loop and each time it gets to the "desktop" the app "phone" crashes over and over and there is no way to stop it as it tries to reload it immediately after it crashes..

Tried to reflash the stock ROM to just turn it into a Fotoo frame (since it had the built in stand) but no can do; I think the internal memory is corrupt.. bummer

Lenovo laptops (at least ThinkPads) are solid - I wouldn't say the same about their tablets...

The fact that my Samsung Tab A 10.1 with 3GB of RAM and better processor struggles to do more than one thing at a time leads me to think this tablet can't be too good.

So I take it that it is not a good tablet for my parents. Their iPad stopped working recently and I'm looking for cheap alternatives, they mainly surf and stream.

Was looking for a tablet to run OneNote on and a stylus to note-taking and writing. Would this be a good alternative? I was leaning more towards the Tab A 10.1 personally.

You're going to want a tablet that has dedicated stylus support.

Forgot cashback... Added to op.

It's not the world's best tablet. I'm hoping it does light tablet stuff (Netflix, books, basic browsing). If not I'll return... But for $100 I'll take the chance.

I wouldnt call this a bad deal...but I think you get what you pay for. Snapdragon in the 2x. Only 2GB ram and 16gb in space...I think it really depends on the use. Personally if it was 25 or 50$ I would bite or even attempt to....but +1 to OP for posting a deal

Decent price. Tablets are all about price/performance ratio, the more you pay the more you get. The resolution is passable, the RAM works fine, the processor is slow but if you don't mind it also works fine. Forget any graphics intense games.
Its also a bit heavy and has large bezels.

If your budget is as low as possible but relatively modern (runs on Oreo and does not get Pie) then its a decent buy.
In Japan, the hand can be used like a knife.
But this method doesn't work with a tomato...

Yup need to keep expectations reasonable. Looked up geekbench scores and even the Fire 7 is faster. New Fire 10 has about 4x the performance.

Can't load up anything as it just goes into a loop and can't break out of it. Followed these https://forum.xda-developers.com/thinkp ... o-t2827237, seemed to work and take the ROM, but when rebooted it didn't reset as expected... Doesn't root twrp need access to the OS in order to load part of the app? Can't get there, just crashes in a loop.

For a 10" screen the resolution is really low, ActionTiles will work, but you won't be able to fit much on the screen.

The Amazon Fire tablets are a far better option IMHO, unless you REALLY need the 10" screen.
