Can someone please clarify the cheapest CODES to use for the SL series? I have used the OP link and I configure the SL but only see one discounted price upon checkout.

Is there another code for more discount?

Thanks for clarifying
You may want to try going in through visaperks.ca, the discounts are great from that site...provided you pay with a visa card

Read this thread, last page or so where someone claims that the increase in power consumption for him in win7 was due to the power management driver not working correctly. Once he addressed that then power consumption became more like what it was in Vista ...

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthr ... 90&page=12

FWIW.
I just updated my power manager and drivers (X200s, Windows 7) with the latest from Lenovo's site, and I did notice a increase in the battery time left meter. However, I'm not sure how it translates into actual use since I rarely use up all the battery. It jumped by around 1-2 hours higher. It's now even surpassing Lenovo's specs if I turn everything down and let it idle.

There is no lenovo.CA website... are you talking about the rebates with visaperks.ca? I didn't find the 30% rebate anywhere and tried your rebate code with no success. Do you have a direct link?

Edit: I found it:

I can't decide whether to get the t400 or t500. I absolutely don't play games on the laptop. I need all the real estate i could get from a screen and I bring the laptop around every day. Battery life is very important too. Is there some where locally that I can compare the T400 and the T500?

Visaperks is a joke. The only models they let you buy are crappy and the discoiunt is never near 30%.

i ordered last wed, and i called lenovo this week. They said the order was released to the manufacturer the day after i ordered it, but on the EPP website my status still says "submitted". The Australia website also shows "submitted". Shouldn't it be "in process" by now? Should I be calling them again to ask abt this or is this normally the case?

its normal guy,my website status was on submitted for a long time even though the rep told me it was in manufacturing, and like few weeks later the rep on the phone told me it will SHIP next wednesday and i got it on the monday of that week so not only the website is not always up to date you should also call in like every 2nd day to check with the reps. (took me a month to get mine hopefully its faster for you)
