The IdeaPad 'Y's are not customizable for me. The screen to choose CPU, RAM, HDD, etc. is blank. R, SL, T, X all works... :?:

whiteflag, just my personal opinion

Any news OVERSIGHT?
I'm still waiting for the sales rep to get back to me, I will update ASAP once she does.

I really hope we don't have to wait til Monday.

Although, if this no tax coupon is stackable with the CAENOVEMBERDEALS, I might just take it as a sign and go for the P8700 for $120.

I just want this overwith lol

Sorry, my mistake.

They (Y-450s) are not customizable, for me either. It looks as if they are; but on the final screen, there are no options (except for laptop bags etc).

And what I learned over the little testing I did just now,
The TAXSAVING code works for regular lenovo site; does not for IBM friends
The TAXSAVING code works by itself; doesn't work with any other coupon

No, the Ideapads 'Y's are not customizeable, they provide a few default configurations that you can choose from.

Note: Coupon codes can NEVER be stacked for Lenovo.
The only code that works for the EPP site is the one posted when you go to the site. Obviously they're not going to give you their special discount(for "regularly priced" laptops ) for the EPP discounted laptops. Though I'm sure we all wished they did.

Still waiting for for another big lenovo christmas sale......
Fingers crossed, X200 tablet for $900 !!!

Shame none of the x200t`s support multitouch.
IMO, multitouch isn't that useful. Why would you want your grimey and greasy hands on the screen?
:P

I tried CAPBANNERS at the regular site; it gives a discount of 15% (not 25%); the code given on the website even lower = 5%, as adverstised.

However, at the IBM friends site, the code (given on page 1 of this thread) still gives about 23% discount.

No one has any idea about how the warranty works? Ship in Canada or ship to US?
Thanks.

Warranty support at 1 800 426 7378. I could either send it back when they send me a box...or as I did, they gave me a link to available sites in Toronto to go to (there are alot of repair places in TO)..had my screen replace within 2 days
