The T460 just looks dimmer in general. You can see less blown highlights at the horizon with the T460 and P1 while the X1C's horizon is just way too bright.

X1C is 1200 with epp but once I add it to cart it changes to 1300...does anyone know why? Thanks.

Guys, bad news to share...

Just received my HP EX920 M.2 1TB SSD and tried to install it to my P1.

Unfortunately, this SSD is double sided and it won't lay flat in the second M.2 slot in P1.

Returning it soon.
Haven’t installed the ex920 in my X1C yet, hopefully it’s not an issue.

Update: just installed the drive, being double sided it certainly doesn’t sit flush, but the screw is long enough for me to secure it just enough, without bending the pcb much and still have it sit firmly in place. So glad at this time Lenovo still allows the user to replace/upgrade the ssd and not go the way of Apple where it’s all soldered on and having to pay Apple Tax upfront!

Just so you know, the XPG SX8200 has the same issue. You can physically fit it, but the SSD bulges up in the middle...

The brightness between the P1 and X1C were the same. The X1C displayed colour gradations that the P1 could not, and consequently, looks blown out on camera because the camera could not pick up those gradations in tones and makes it appear blown out as a result in the JPEG.

T460 shows perfectly on camera because its range of colours is so limited that JPEG captures a lot more of its limited colours.

for anyone familiar with the p1 and x1e, looking to get one on boxing day. If you had to pick between them for the same price, which would you choose (same specs except the q2000 vs 1050ti). Thinking about picking up the FHD model p1/x1e.

I know the chassis is mostly the same, anything else different/better in one over the other?

I had both. For the same price is hard to decide. Only major question you should ask yourself: how much will you be playing games to really benefit from 10-20% more frames with the 1050Ti? Or alternatively, will you be doing any CAD design at all? Then Quadro might be faster in generating model views in some programs. Also, a Quadro gpu might have a better resale value, but at the same time - in 5 years maybe no one will even care.
In conclusion :) if you plan to play any games at all get the X1E.

Is Lenovo still dealing with the cyber week backlog? My replacement order is showing it's expected to ship after 4 business days
