The Small Business Pro website has the X1C with i7 8650U, Win10Pro, WQHD 300nit, 16gb, 512 SSD for $1950. Not sure if this is a hot deal so just posting it here as I'm tempted myself. Also 6% Ebates right now.

Edit: Not HDR display, which is a no go for me.

Yes, you may buy a ThinkPad on EPP.

I was looking at the V330 which is usually $829. With the code it'd be only $639 (their special on their regular site has is for $689, but a coupon there has it or $654)

Is that a good deal or might there be similar or better deals within the next few months on this laptop?

Wait till Back to School and Labour Day season. They usually have the best deals then.

Is there any good sale period before then? Like end of April or June (when schools end), or is waiting half a year the only good option to save money?

The next gen X series are coming out in June. So here's hoping there's going to be a drop for current gen around May for me to scoop up. I really need a laptop for June and can hold out until then.

BTS sale is probably your best bet.

That's what everyone says till that time rolls around, then they complain about the lack of any deals (which is true). I've long given up on new Thinkpads, I don't think they're very well made and I can get decently fast used T430, T440 and T450 series fairly cheap if one is willing to do some repair work (just built a T440 from "broken" T440 and T450 parts - three computers - I bought for $50 total.

So many models and families, and a terrible web site. I'm looking for light (3 lbs or less), 14 (or 13.3) FHD touch screen, pen support, good battery life, at least 512Gb storage, under $1K. Does it exist?

I don't think so. The closest would be an L380 Yoga, but it weighs 3.4 lbs. The X380 is lighter, but costs more.

The 2019 spec sheet has apparently been leaked: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-Th ... 510.0.html

Wish lenovo would maintain at least one line with power user features like upgradeable ram, storage, power bridge etc. The T series seemed like the obvious choice. Tempted to pick up a T480 if it gets to a 40%+ discount again; the last generation of power bridge. Hard to justify because I've been very happy with the X1 Carbon 6th gen.

Anyone else has random BSOD crashes on P1 or X1E?
I reinstalled the OS from their official Recovery Media, but still happens. Lenovo Diagnostic passes all tests without issues, even the full 3 hour test for Memory.
But when I test using 3rd party software, like the Windows Memory Diagnostic or do a MemTest86 scan, the results point to hardware problems. What is the point of the Lenovo's Diagnostics if it can't find issues? I'm not sure if it's just the original RAM module or the motherboard, so sending the whole laptop back for service.
