Good grief Lenovo must have a dozen laptop product lines and they all have 95% the same specs. How does anyone even tell them apart.

Edit to add:
ThinkPad L-series is the low end ThinkPad line. Meaning they don't use premium materials compared to the T-series and X-series.
If you happen to work for a large employer that uses Lenovo, they probably give employees either the T-series or L-series. But if it's for home use and never leaves your desk or home then just get whichever is on sale.

It's the same thing with Dell and HP nowadays. There's something for everyone.

I decided to pull the trigger

Couldn't find another Lenovo laptop with an i7, 512gb SSD and 16gb ram for close to that price

Also, what do you all think of of Thinkpad L series vs. Flex 5?

I'm also considering the Flex 5 with Ryzen 4700u at Costco (1029.99 online or 999.99 in-store) https://www.costco.ca/lenovo-ideapad-fl ... 58044.html

I prefer the slightly larger Flex 14" screen and Costco warranty, but expect Thinkpad build quality will be better.

The shipping delay is really killer in my case. if it's shipped in feb, I can deal with it. but until may, not so much.

This laptop (and many other Thinkpads) DO have real onboard wired gigabit Ethernet. However, you have to buy a dongle adapter to convert from the special “docking” connector (beside the secondary USB-C). But it is NOT a USB adapter.

I also have the Flex, but looks like I may not receive this L13 yoga one for a while to compare.
From what I see online the L13 has an aluminum lid, but otherwise similar construction to the Flex. Some of the individual parts are better though, like wifi card, keyboard, pen dock.
