Ordered this deal a while back. Looks like a pricing error when you compare this edition to the specs of the next most expensive model, OR the comparably spec’d L13 non-Yoga, which is technically supposed to cost less.

Common practice for Lenovo website, its the Canadian Tire of computer retailers. Dont buy unless its 50% off.

Thanks OP. I'm a sucker for punishment with Lenovo. I'm on my 5th Yoga, some of which spontaneously died. I've purchased many as refurb off eBay, so that could be part of the issue, so hopefully this one acts better.

I saw no options to upgrade warranty though?

I'm also considering the Flex 5 with Ryzen 4700u at Costco (1029.99 online or 999.99 in-store) https://www.costco.ca/lenovo-ideapad-fl ... 58044.html

I prefer the slightly larger Flex 14" screen and Costco warranty, but expect Thinkpad build quality will be better.

Are you sure the in store price is 999? I may cancel this order in that case....

Yes, it is. Keep in mind that it is a bilingual keyboard, though.

Never had one of those to be honest... How bad is that?

Yes. I'm considering ordering online with my $50off code if I don't find anything else worth buying by the January 17th expiry date.

Thank you, ill go and see if they have it in our costco... to wait 5 months for a laptop is a little bit crazy. So if I can get one of these Ill cancel my order.

You're welcome.

If you cancel, let us know how that goes... Lenovo's cancellation policy sounds pretty bad - if you don't cancel the day you place the order, they might not honour your request.

Also interesting - the laptop I took a photo of in Costco was built on November 27th, 2020... I was a little surprised how quick it got over here and put on display!

After seeing the horrible "bilingual" Canadian keyboards with their rearranged key layout and confusing excess of labeling, I would and have in the past specifically paid more just to get a standard US keyboard on a laptop.

Favoring the Flex 5:
* AMD Performance
* Bigger battery (52.5wH vs 46wH)
* Longer battery life (12hr vs 10.36hr)

Favoring the L13 Yoga Gen 2:
* Lighter (3.17lbs vs 3.30lbs)
* Thinner (0.69" vs 0.70-0.82")
* 300 nit brightness screen (versus 250nit)
* 72% color gamet (versus 45%)
* Anti-reflection touchscreen (versus glossy, although this can be preference)
* Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4
* 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 & 1 x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (versus 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 & 1 x USB-C 3.1 Gen 1)
* ThinkPad quality keyboard, with trackpoint + 3 buttons (that is, unless you hate that FN key placement)
* Built-in Intel Ethernet (with optional dongle)
* AX WIFI 6 wireless (vs AC WIFI 5)
* Garaged ThinkPad Pen Pro included
* Up to 3 external screens @ 5120x2160@60Hz (versus 2 @ 4096x2160@24Hz)
* HDMI 2.0 (versus 1.4b)
* 5MP rear camera (for some reason)

Nice summary. Looking at the list, L13 Yoga clearly is better choice among the two. The display of Flex 15 is not good at all. The Yoga form, the touchscreen, and the pen of L13 Yoga can be quite useful in some cases.

I'm in the same boat.

Ordered on 7th Jan. Expected delivery is 27th April.

The website clearly said ships within 3-4 weeks, not months. And honestly, I can't wait that long.

But I don't know if there's anything that can be done now. I guess I'll wait for a week, and if doesn't improve, I'll just cancel it.

I bought the flex 5 14" from Costco earlier this week that others are mentioning. My screen has really bad blacklight bleed so I'll be returning it for that reason for sure. The bilingual keyboard I might be able to get used to but it's very annoying right now.

Bought one of these as it seems to be a better deal but that long wait time is crazy. In that time in sure some ryzen 5000 series laptops will become available.

Anyone know if you can cancel easily before shipping?

I work in IT sales and I can vouch for the April lead time from the factory. The Lenovo's, Dell's, and HPs are facing component shortages at the factory level with display panels, chipsets, and processors. Part of the shortage has to do with a surge in sales and demand for students of Chromebooks which use the same hardware components. I have corporate clients that order custom configs and I'm quoting April lead times from the factory for new orders. The normal standard lead time would have been 4-weeks.

By the way, this is an amazing price for a corporate grade Yoga. My cost to buy through the corporate distribution channel is $500+ more. Even with a volume discount I wouldn't be able to get near that price point to resell to a corporate client.

How does this perkopolis thing work? Do I need to signup anywhere to use it? Or can I just follow the link, use the passcode and order like normal? Will rakuten work with this?

This deal is pretty insane. My mom bought a Gen1 L13 Yoga in mid November with 10th Gen i7 / 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD for $1,250
