5650U/16GB/512GB/400nits low-power for $1275.
5850U/16GB/512GB/400nits low-power for $1359.

The 400nits low-power display is arguably the best one among the display options.

This GPU is absolutely killer. I have a thinkbook 13s with a 4800u, which performes REALLY well. This listing here has a much faster (cpu and gpu) option.

If i didnt just buy the thinkbook a few months back, i would have 100% got this laptop. It crushes all competition at that price

I have the think book as well, but not sure if I'd buy this instead. The ThinkPad just looks so dated and reminds me so much of work.

ThinkPads aren't marketed for space cowboys.

Which is ironic, since they actual do get used in space, unlike the trendy looking notebooks :) .

TBH i love the look of thinkpads. They look like what they are, very high build quality, functional machines.

The worst part about buying laptops these days is how long you have to wait.

You can make a custom P14s build with the following screen option:
14.0" FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS Anti-Glare 400nits 72%NTSC Non-Touch

The same config as OP posted, with the upgraded screen is $1190.

Back in April I did exactly this plus 512 SSD and backlit keyboard and it came out to $1229.
Go with 400nits. Makes a world of difference.

Love everything about this laptop except the webcam. It's pure garbage and there's no option to upgrade.

They are also available in aluminum gray, if you want a different look than basic black.

Thank you! I ordered a p14s Gen 2 AMD a week ago for $1320 but with 512GB/16GB RAM and the Ryzen 7. With this deal I am downgrading to the Ryzen 5, but still getting 512GB/16GB Ram, and also getting the better 400nit display for $1200. With the savings I can upgrade to 32GB RAM with an aftermarket upgrade. I don't think I will notice too much of a difference between Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7. Selecting Ryzen 7 is a cheap upgrade, but that causes the shipping to delay by a couple months and I can't wait now.

Edit: make sure you select backlit english keyboard when customizing if you make changes, i almost missed that

Did you checkout as guest? I keep stuck at "Proceed to Checkout" yesterday. I gave up and will wait for BF deal.

It never once asked me to sign in or register, so I guess i was a guest. The warranty options screen never loaded for me though so maybe the website has some issues. Maybe try another browser?
