[Lenovo Canada] X1 Extreme Gen 4 from $1683

First, you need to use eBates -- this is a Lenovo.com link so it works with it. That's an additional 6% off.

Find the the Perkopolis code here and head over to the link. Click add to cart, the eCoupon is autoapplied -- it says "$1,790.36 including GST and delivery". eBates brings the total outlay to 1683.

What you should know beyond what the official specs tell you? The laptop accepts a 65W slip tip charger or an at least 90W USB C charger. For the latter don't forget the properly eMarked cable (a C-C cable can either be 60W or 100W max, you need a 100W cable). You can't undervolt any more. Can't think of anything else, ask away.

Oh and the 1yr depot warranty sucks but as of a few days ago I was able to upgrade my warranty. Initially it didn't let me... but recently it did.

seems decent price. I paid over $2000 for the first gen X1 back in 2018 - no complaints

the extreme x1 (15.6) gen 3 is about the same price, having gen 4 looks like a deal to me.. except for the 4 months shipping??

as far as I can tell, you can either use Rakuten or Perkopolis (not both). That's too bad because Rakuten has the 15% promo right now

As soon as I created a lenovo account, the checkout stopped working for me. But I was able to make an order as a guest.

Also:

a) base model is priced in my cart as $1770. ($1967 - $196.70 for "THINKCLEARANCE" coupon). This is before GST/PST applied.
b) Rakuten plugin promised to credit 10% cashback on top of everything else. We'll see if that actually happens.

They are really milking the situation. It’s an easy way to get a bunch of cash upfront interest free.

The last two are the same, how long did you not use Rakuten?

They wont let you stack perk and rakuten, at first they blamed Lenovo saying they were waiting for them to report, then my cashback changed to $0.00. whined and complained and they eventually gave me a $50 courtesy credit for my P14s purchase (should have been $68 but hey, I'll take what I can get)

Have a gen 2, great laptop with screen. Battery life could be better, but that is the trade off for a H processor and a bright screen. Would highly recommend getting an extended warranty. My motherboard and power adapter, was replaced recently and thankfully I have a three year warranty

I heard gen 2 quality is the worst, I have no problem with my gen 3.
