Rakuten LenovoPRO @ 10% on Desktop (Rakuten.ca) or App. Thank you @krazykanuck and @FatSheep.

Gross: $689.99
Less: $69.00

Final: $620.99
Deal remains active until I update this post stating otherwise.

Get the 81SS000BUS with the US Keyboard (OOS).
Or, get the 81SS000CCF with the Bilingual Keyboard.

I've summarized the salient points for this winning proposition, along with @krazykanuck.

Start here:

Rakuten LenovoPRO: https://www.rakuten.ca/lenovo-smb-pro

Create your business account with LenovoPRO, they do not check business status or incorporation status, they simply take your business account at face value.

When you login through Rakuten LenovoPro 10% Cashback, search '81SS000BUS' for US Keyboard or '81SS000CCF' for the Bilingual Keyboard on the redirected Lenovo site.

You cannot click the above link directly, you must navigate through the search to get there otherwise you may lose your 10% CB from Rakuten.

$689.99 after FLEXSAVINGS but BEFORE the 10% CB

$620.99 after FLEXSAVINGS and after Rakuten 10% CB

This is a bute.

Gents: This is the start of a potential 15 page thread.

Some facts for folks, as to why you should be buying this unit.

Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1
Ryzen 3700U + Vega 10
14.0" FHD (1920x1080) IPS, glossy, multi-touch [250 to 300 nits]
8Gb RAM [2x4GB, One SODIMM slot, One soldered]
512GB NVMe SSD
0.7" Thick

Think about that. You're getting the highest end Ryzen U-Series chip with the solid Vega 10 onboard graphics. You're getting a 2-in-1 with a 10-point multi-touch screen, where Windows 10 supports tablet mode. Also, since when are laptop makers including impressively large 512GB NVMe SSDs at this price point? All that device for only 0.7" of thickness.

Did I mention the upgrade option?
- NVMe SSD is replaceable.
- One SODIMM slot available, ergo, possibilities:
==> 4GB onboard + 16GB SODIMM = 20GB RAM [See Accessories Section]
==> 4GB onboard + 32GB SODIMM = 36GB RAM [See Accessories Section]

The price? ... See below, it's solid.

Folks, LenovoPRO is still 10% on Rakuten.

All you need to do is sign up as a business.

In Canada, the definition of a business is pretty loose, and sole proprietors operating without an incorporated entity are also considered businesses... calling yourself 'Bill's Landscaping' is good enough in many cases. Lenovo doesn't check or care, except when they suspect you're ordering en-masse for resale... something only a licensed reseller should be able to do.

Use eCoupon: FLEXSAVINGS

Flex 14 - Onyx Black
Part Number: 81SS000BUS
Non-Member Price$919.99
LenovoPRO Price$901.59
After eCoupon:$689.99
Savings:$230.00
Use eCoupon: FLEXSAVINGS

SAVEMORE still works, but takes the 10% off the initial price of $919. So it's not a good deal to use.
Coupon FLEXSAVINGS takes off $230. Bringing it to $689.99
Military/Student/Teacher rebate can't be applied..because well, you are supposed to be a company.
You'll get $68.90 cashack from Rakuten.

Edit: added the Lenovo SMB pricing.

It looks like this laptop has rapid charging, with 80% charge from 0%, in one hour. I'm confirming this now.

Rapid charging confirmed.

Regarding WiFi, see this review comment from Amazon USA

... had several more wifi drops. i did a BIOS update with the lenovo app, and changed the power settings in power options for wifi to best performance, it was set to a strange sleep type low power setting. I'm not sure if it was the power options or the bios update but all is working well so far now, knock on wood

Steps for Installing Windows 10 Professional
1) Buy Windows 10 Professional license off eBay [see below]
2) Load Windows 10 Media Installation tool and go through the prompts to make a bootable USB.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/softwar ... /windows10
3) Plug in USB and restart computer.
4) Hit any key to start the installation when prompted.
5A) Select the largest SSD partition during installation, choose to format, and select that space again for installation.
5B) You may be forced to format all the partitions for a full drive wipe during installation, before it can proceed.
6) When creating an account, select the 'domain join' option in the bottom left corner, and then create your user account.
6) Follow the prompts until you're in Windows.
7) Run Windows Update.
8) Done.

Bonus: You can identify the components of the Flex 14 and search for particular up-to-date drivers. This isn't absolutely necessary, but consider it for the Vega 10 GPU.

Steps for Buying Windows 10 Professional
1) Search for 'Windows 10 Professional' on eBay.ca.
2) Find sellers with multiple units of that product sold, a seller rating of 98% or higher, recent positive feedback from the listing, and one that's promising 'instant' or nearly instant delivery. Try to check off most of these boxes. **
3) Purchase the license and wait the 5 to 10 minutes to receive the license code by eBay Message and email.
4) Use code during the above installation.

** Worst case: eBay will reimburse you if the seller doesn't deliver. However, you'll most likely receive your license by eBay message and email within minutes. Either way, you're only spending a few dollars.

FYI, while I think Windows 10 installation is dead easy, some folks may be confused. If you have a nephew, son (or daughter, it's 2019), kicked around, you may want to recruit them to help.

It looks like this is actually $620.99 after coupon and 10% cashback through the Rakuten LenovoPRO gateway.

Keeps getting better.

I had placed the order in the earlier deal, but they cancelled it with no explanation. However once I called the sales dept, they honored the deal. Expecting delivery this week.

I wanted to buy this recently through Amazon USA, but the Amazon.com sold and shipped offer is $601.99 USD, considerably more than this smokin' deal... and the Amazon deal only comes with 256GB NVMe.

https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Convertib ... 07QFNMZ4S/

Meanwhile on Amazon.ca the same unit with the smaller SSD is selling for the stately amount of $942.72.

Nope, still works. Don't go through the parent link, which I'll change now, go through Rakuten and then search for the model number 81SS000BUS to see the business PRO page.

Bear in mind, I had to create a business account before I could access this page. You will be prompted to do the same when you try to login through the Rakuten LenovoPRO 10% CB gateway. To reiterate, they do not check business names or incorporation status so 'Mic2074's Audio Electronics Emporium' is taken at face value... part of the reason for that is that sole proprietorship has minimal filing requirements and businesses come in all shapes and sizes.

It's too thin for a full-size Ethernet, and they did not include a collapsible one. However, through USB-C all things are possible.

It is 1 RAM slot with 4GB soldered. An 8GB stick would be the next size up giving you 12GB - although some RAM is used for the Vega GPU.
