[Lenovo Canada] Lenovo L24q-30 23.8-inch QHD Monitor 60-75hz 4ms IPS $215.99 + HST + Ebates 6% CB

Piggybacking off other posts by those on the Lenovo site for deals,

https://www.lenovo.com/ca/en/accessorie ... 65FBGCC1US

2560x1440 QHD resolution
IPS Wide Viewing Angle
99% sRGB color gamut
(Up to) 75Hz high refresh rate
AMD FreeSync™ technology
Vesa Mount: Yes
4ms Response Time
HDMI (1.4), DisplayPort (1.2) Video Inputs
1000:1 Contrast Ratio
Flicker-Free Screen
TUV Eye Comfort Certification

Previously there was an MONITOREXTRA5 code that worked for already discounted or clearance items. This code I found on Honey "DISCOVER20" is basically reverting the price of the product to original and taking 20% off that amount.

This works out better than the extra 5% off as $242 (already 10% sale price off $269.99) - 5% = $229.90 + HST = $259.79

This code now allows for another 5% off at $269.99 - $54 = $215.99 + HST = $244.07

Applicable cash back is 10%, so I won't bundle it into the calculations.

This obviously is only beneficial if the purchase item you want on Lenovo is already than 15% on sale. As otherwise, you would use the Extra 5% off coupon instead.

That being said, I looked at some reviews for this monitor and the IPS/75hz/QHD matches my needs for this price range. If this is a cold deal, I'll take it down.

Edit: Thanks for the reminder, Newegg is in USD, irrelevant so removed!

Edit 2: Full Data sheet https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PD ... eet_EN.pdf

Edit 3: Order was on Sunday May 24, shipping states Friday, May 29 by 9:00pm. Will snap some pics when it comes in.

Edit 4: Photos of the Monitor

Edit 5: Cashback history 10%, 2%, 12%, 6% (current)

Nice deal! Everything is great, except that I'm looking for a bigger screens size, somewhere around 30 inches.

If you have a student account through ID.me you can stack an additional 5% off making this a great deal. I believe front line workers also get an additional discount through ID.me

Side note: you can also use a friends student account while having a different shipping/billing info. I did that for an ultrawide I ordered a few months ago.

$240 all in for a 122 PPI monitor vs a ($150 ish all in) HD 1080 monitor with 91 PPI.

Not much a difference tbh. A 4k 27" display has 163 PPI which should be bigger step up from 1080p.

In my books, if you were going for a $250 ish monitor, i would get a 1080p 144hz like this one or stick to any 1080p monitor for almost half the price.

HOWEVER, nonethelss, its a great deal if you are in the market for a 24" QHD!

Was going to ask, not sure what the first responder discount is, trying to verify my status, but wondering what the additional discount is for First Responders, if anyone knows.
The first rule of RFD is, you do not talk about RFD.

this is purely geared towards office workers and productivity with the extra pixels. Perfect for me who has limited desk space at home but need an extra monitor to WFH. I don't need to see my excel sheets fly by me at 144hz. plus this monitor is IPS whereas that one is VA, lower resolution for $50 more. You are forgetting the 10% ebates and optional 5% off. closer to 210 all in for me.

If my laptop has 1080p resolution, would it be unecessary to buy a monitor with higher resolution like 2560x1440 QHD resolution?

Usually laptops are able to display onto higher resolutions through their HDMI / Display ports. For example, my Dell Inspiron has a 1080P screen but I can connect it to a QHD monitor and works just fine (the refresh rate might go down if you're on integrated graphics)

this is a fairly new model was trying to compare with my older DELL U2410 but was not able to find a site to compare both, I am wondering if anybody knows if this would be an upgrade in screen quality? U2410 is old and power consumption is quite bad but graphics and screen quality are nice.

Apply Military/Teacher/Student/Responder Discount if you are eligible for 5% more. Reduces it to $205.19.

Limited pixels, at 30PPI increase. Not much tbh.

And the monitor linked is an IPS.

Even scrolling doing everyday tasks look and feel buttery.

I had been looking at the Dell P2418D or P2421DC, waiting for a much better Rakuten cash back . The P2421DC is cheaper right now due to a sale for $414 and the 10% monitor coupon works. There is quite of a bit of a price delta between the Dell and this Lenovo, but by comparing the specs, I can't tell what the differences are for the almost $200 price difference. Would appreciate any insight.

Can anyone recommend me a monitor with USB-C? Don't need it for gaming - using it for work only.

thanks
