Lenovo won't honor "Price Protection Guarantee"

Buyer beware! Just a heads up that apperantly Lenovo has a different interpretation of their own policy. Customer service says they dont price match accessories, only computers.

Nowhere does it say this in their policy FAQ that they link to or tell you to go read. On the website it clearly says products, not computers. Accessories and monitors are not in the exclusion list, only third party sellers etc.
For orders placed between October 26th to December 16th 2020, customers may request a price adjustment on products purchased from Lenovo.com in quantities of five (5) units or less through January 15, 2021. Outside of this window, customers may request a price adjustment for products purchased from Lenovo.com in quantities of five (5) units or less within 30 calendar days from the date of invoice.

What’s not covered:

Offers that include additional software, gift cards, bundling of items, free items, pricing errors, mail-in offers, coupon offers, special discount offers, services, out of stock, open box, refurbished items, used items, trade-ins, shipping and delivery charges, credit card offers, MyLenovo Rewards offers, outlet or in-store pricing only

I ordered a C32q-20 monitor for $250, then it dropped to $210. Reading around it seems Lenovo CS is terrible across the board, something I would not have expected considering how highly regarded their business products are.

Do we have any recourse, apart from returning higher priced items once they go down in price? Tried without luck to find an email or contact info of a someone higher up that could help, but so far no dice.

If you can return without re-stocking free or penalty, phone to do that explaining why. If they still don't get it, proceed with return and re-purchase at lower price.

Some credit cards offer price protection, perhaps try that if you paid by a card with that feature? Doesn't resolve the issue of Lenovo's nonsense, but it'd at least get you your money back.
