I got a $200 GC to Harry Rosen last year.
Here are the steps I took to ensure I was able to get the full $200.
I signed up for Globe and Mail subscription online, went inside the dealership, talked about cars, and showed genuine interest in the RX350 F-Sport. I asked if I was able to go on a test drive, and he took a copy of my ID, handed me the keys and I went on a 30 mins test drive by myself.
I returned there and inquired that I about seeing a promotion on Globe and Mail for those that test drove a new Lexus they were eligible for a gift card. While the dealership didn't know what I was talking about initially, the sales person eventually clued in as I was about to leave.

Anyways, YMMV depending on the dealership and the sales person. You may have to give out some personal information to the dealership, and they will reach out to you to see if you're interested in moving forward with a vehicle purchase.

Pretty useless gift card, might end up spending more
Depends on what you buy but I managed to pick up a Canada Goose vest for $150 bucks rather than paying $350 for it.

If I recall I signed up for that one. I cancelled my subscription after I received my gift card.

This is so true. It's unlikely able to buy anything good for $100.

There's a harry Rosen outlet in Mississauga with clearance, I went there with 100$ and we ended up getting four belts, I ended up paying 7$ I think.

Spend all that time for four belts?

Even Mazda test drive took full hour and half to go there, do it and come home, then tracking down gift card took another hour over next few days going back and forth about where gift card was.

Then you have to drive out to outlet, navigate through the crowd, find something on clearance and get it. That's another hour and half at least. With Amazon, getting item only took five minutes.

From the Official Rules, to get $100: Entrants must visit one (1) of thirty two (32) participating Lexus dealerships in Canada, excluding dealers located in the Province of Quebec (“Dealership”);

And there's no list of participating dealerships. Great.

Yes, 10 minutes.
I don't mind if the salesperson stays in the car, but 10 mins? Can't do jack with 10 mins.

Oh yeah, it was during work. Had some downtime and boss told me to go wherever. I live about 10 minutes away from a dealership too. So....idk how you live an hour and a half. You have to value your time somehow.

Seems to make us jump through hoops without the list of dealerships, unlike the $35 Mazda one.

Is Lexus of Oakville participating?
