Also read that people experienced issues in some of the other Nolan/WB 4K movies. It glitched pretty hard during Ready Player One, but not sure if it was because I paused it, then tried to resume. In any case, it shouldn't have happened.

Saving up for the UB820, since none of the stores in Edmonton have it in stock, even though it came out around 6 months ago. The guy at Visions said he could sell it for $400 once they receive stock, so I'm holding out for that.
I looked up the Philips 7502U and it's not too bad actually. No signs of glitching, auto HDR10 and DV switching, and can go under 200 bucks too

Where can you find that for under $200? I'm trying to hold out for the UB820.

Amazon had it for 199 earlier this year in the summer so I'm guessing BB or Amazon will have it again at this price come next Friday. It's 272 right now so not too far off

Still would prefer the Panasonic. That HDR optimization feature sounds impressive, and the UB820 is possibly even better than the UB900 which is supposed to be their highest model.

I saw that post, thanked the OP for posting, but warned people there that this years models can be had for less this BF. Due to these factors, this "does not hot".

55" OLED for less than $1899? I've yet to see that for this year's models. I hope so

lol... fair enough... I think it'll be more noticeable when they are brighter scenes in the content you're watching. That was just one example.

Did you just walk into a store and ask? I'm thinking of trying it over here in BC.

Too much money. If you really want the warranty offer half of that and see what they say. If not hopefully you are buying with a credit card that will double the manufacturer's warranty to 2 years.

Up to you. More than a few people here would say no. It's up to what risk you're comfortable with. If you use a cc it'll give you an extra year on the standard warranty anyway, so you'd be looking at $500 for 3 years of warranty. Visions doesn't cover burn-in or burnt pixels.

The warranty doesn't cover burn in so it isn't really worth it. It probably covers things like malfunction and dead pixels.

Visions extended warranty covers the same as the manufacturer's warranty.
