Are you aware of any BF prices at Visions for the LG OLED65C8? One of the locations said if I pop in on Saturday, they could sell it to me for $2800. If it's going to go down to around $2500 during BF, I'd prefer to wait until then.
Which location? Nvm I should've kept on reading. lol

The north end store said they could do $2800 for me, but I ended up picking up from the south side store because they're 5 minutes away from my home.

Which Calgary stores are you talking about? I'll link your post with the info in the first post, since that's a confirmed $2800 for the C8 65".

I'm just looking for a 49"-55" 4K HDR TV for my bedroom. Since I watch a lot in my room, I want to get the Sony X900F or something of equal performance.

Guess I'm really best just waiting for Black Friday and hoping it goes on sale, right? For the money and price, it looks like one of the best mid-range TVs that I've been doing research on.

Don't have a need for OLED yet.

The north and south side stores. I contacted all of the stores in the area via email last weekend, and only the north side store bothered to get back to me. The individual from that store said he couldn't match the price at first, but was able to look ahead and see that the cost price on the TV was going to drop this Saturday, Oct 20th (possibly for one day only). Since I'll be busy this week, I figured I'd try my luck at the south side location yesterday. It's closer to my home, and I've always gotten great service from them.

While paying for the TV, I was told the payment wouldn't be processed until Saturday (Oct. 20th), because that's when the price change would take effect in their systems. Keep in mind, I'm referring to the cost price and not the sale price they advertise on their website and in flyers. People might still need a valid argument to get the stores to lower their price. Also, since the TV was under $3000, Visions' warranty prices were a bit lower too. I still couldn't justify paying $469 for the 36 months of coverage though. I get a second year of warranty with my credit card. I figure if nothing happens in the first couple of years, then it should be good for a while... unless you have a Samsung product.

@Hibbing hey buddy, what’s the current Hibbing price for the 55” C8 at Visions Kennedy and how long is it valid for? I am strongly considering making a trip there this week to snatch one up, thanks.

I can confirm that this $2800 price is available in Calgary as well. I emailed a few stores in Calgary and the Crowfoot location got back to me and said they can match the $2800 price on the 65" C8 but no free delivery.

No financing available either. The store I went to said they could do $2750, but only if I purchased warranty. If I was allowed to finance the TV, I would have taken the warranty, but since it was going on my card, I declined. I also had to find my own way to deliver. My Honda Crosstour was too small/narrow, but my dad's Lexus NX200t was the perfect size. The width/length of the cargo area in the NX was the exact size of the TV.

I think you can rent a van from Home Depot/Lowes for about $20. I think they charge by the hour too. It's been a few years since I've rented one, so I'm not sure if the cost has gone up or not.

I'm in the same situation. Also waiting for a good X900F sale, or the Samsung Q8FN. They will definitely go on sale for Black Friday, the 900E last year had great discounts. Now that I just picked up a Ps4 Pro on sale today, I'm gunna have a hard time waiting for Nov.23rd Face With Tears Of Joy

Do you remember how cheap the 900E went on BF last year? I know it went on as well, but can't remember for how much. Probably too much to expect the 55" to go for $1000, right?

At least you only have to wait a month though! Not that you'll be able to take advantage of the full capabilities on the Pro, but at least you're set for next generation. I'm sure the Pro will look great on either TV though.

I saw someone local selling a new in box Q6F for $800. Pretty tempting, but gonna wait and see what Black Friday has in store before I get baited.

Would you guys feel like getting an 65" LED (like a Vizio P-series) would be preferred over a 55" OLED? I'm really torn, obviously the OLED offers better picture quality but smaller real estate. Don't think I can swing the 65" OLED at this point

Neither can I... I'm selling off a kidney to help pay for it. I also figure I have about $2-3K worth of stuff just sitting around in the house, I can attempt to sell. Even if I can make $1K in Kijiji sales, that'll help cover a 1/3 of the cost. I know for sure I can make $1000.

I was only looking at the 65" last year and I know it had the bigger discount by quite a bit but I can't remember how much. This year I'm considering the 55" and using the $900 price difference on a soundbar though vs just the 65". I'm only expecting the 55" to drop $300-$400. Don't think it'll get down to a $1000. Hope I'm wrong !
