The C8 has been doing great so far. No regrets on the purchase.

Anyone that has the C8 got a sound bar or sound system for it as well? Need a some recommendations that goes well with it, preferably at a great price too :D

That's really awesome for the people pulling the trigger over in Ontario. I wish BC had sales people willing to be competitive with pricing like that. I would most likely pull the trigger on a new set now without having to wait until BF. Thanks again for all the info and deal sharing Hibbing!
Thanks!

The Samsung K950 has been getting some great reviews but at $2,000 it is pretty pricey. The best option for the best sound would be a receiver with separate speakers but for aesthetics I decided to go for a sound bar.

I picked up 2 weeks ago the LG SK10Y Atmos soundbar (which matches perfectly the 65" OLED TV) from Amazon for $818 after tax (the deal has since expired though). There have been some complaints online about center channel voices being hard to hear but this has been corrected with a firmware update in July 2018. The movies and shows with ATMOS content is limited right now but even movies without ATMOS benefit from the ATMOS up firing speakers and the side firing speakers because they really add to and increase the sound stage. I ordered the SPK 8S rear speakers online for $185 and they should arrive next week. I think at a tax in $1,000 price the SK10Y with rear speakers is a good deal ....keep your eyes open because I am pretty sure you can find this setup sometimes for around $1,000.

I'm still holding out and waiting for Vizio to release their Dolby Atmos soundbars, which should be any week now. Also the K950 is only $1298 at 2001 Audio Video. https://www.2001audiovideo.com/en/catal ... ng-HW-K950

That is a great deal on the Samsung K950! I haven't heard the Samsung yet but I would be curious to hear it to see if it is worth the extra $450 after tax over the LG SK10Y with the SPK8S rear surrounds.

The entire line of Vizio sound bars are always a good bang for the buck also.

Bought the 65" C8 last week as well and wall mounted; moved my 65'' E6 to the rec room and really like it so far. As for the soundbar I have the Samsung K950 for about a year now and its been great. There are some issues though but there are workarounds; for one it lacks Dolby Vision passthrough so if you have a DV compatible BD player majority of them have 2 HDMI ports so one port would need to plug to the TV and the other port to either HDMI 1 or 2 input on the soundbar so you enjoy Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos. Thats how I had to set it up with my Oppo UDP-203 and it looks and sounds great!

The new Samsung Atmos N950 is coming out soon which is $2000 and is a 7.1.4 system, it looks like they fixed all the issues with the N950 that also include Dolby Vision passthrough and has 2 side firing speakers whereas the K950 is 5.1.4. Might actually upgrade to the N950.

Whew I was doubting myself for buying the LG SK10Y and SPK8 rear speakers for $1,000 thinking that the Samsung K950 for $1,450 was the same as the 7.1.4 Samsung N950 that is actually $2,000. Glad to know that there is a $1,000 difference between the LG SK10Y system and the Samsung N950 7.1.4 Atmos sound bar.

Teletime in Mississauga has the 65 C8 for $2750 plus the environment fee with free delivery. They are offering additional extended warranty for extra 4 years for $289 not sure if I should get the warranty as I'm pretty sure it wont cover burn in.

They sure are. Fully authorized. Does anyone know if their 3rd party additional 4 year warranty is any good? Its by a company called P3.
