Yes it's below cost but if Kennedy can do it any of them can. THEY know the method but most are not willing to give customers the best possible pricing. There was no special sell through on Saturday.
But then again Mike and Rico really want the sales and long term customers and are willing to go the extra mile to get them.
Yup... they probably could drop the price below cost, but the stores in Edmonton weren't will to. As I mentioned before, Saturday (Oct 20th) their cost dropped on the 65" C8, and that was the only time they were willing to do $2800 for me. Two different locations told me that. Since I purchased last Monday, the store said they'd enter my purchase in their system on the Saturday so they wouldn't get in trouble. That also means I would get price protection for a few days more than the usual 60 days.

Yes they could and they got it partially right. There was NO one day price drop either.

Just wanted to thank fudge_u for the heads up on the C8 at $2800 in Edmonton. I picked one up on Saturday from the Northside for $2800 plus tax. I also picked up the Yamaha YAS-207 for $320. Very happy with both purchases!!
That's great to hear. That was the store that initially said they could do $2800 for me, but only on Saturday. Since they're about 40 minutes away, I ended up convincing the Southside store to give me the same deal a few days earlier.

Dunno what to tell you. The store I visited in person said no to $2800 until they saw something in their system. The sales rep had to look it up after I told him that the other store was going to do it on Saturday only. Not sure if it was BS or not, but they also took an email copy of my teletime.ca price quote.

All stores do what they wish the good part is you got a great TV at a fantastic price.

Talked with a guy at my local Visions he said they can't do $2800 for the 65 C8. Said it was some sort of price match that they no longer can do. Offered $3k for it. Didn't take the offer as of yet
Not sure which visions location you went to, but in Calgary the only store that was willing to do the $2800 for me was at Crowfoot. And I believe in Edmonton it was Northside and South stores.

Chances are in 2 years you will want to upgrade , like me I’m already upgrading from my 55e6p to a 65 inch c8
It would be nice to upgrade more frequently, but not everyone has $3k kicking around to upgrade every two years. I plan to keep my C8 for at least 7+ years, unless it craps out before then.

Is there anywhere in Ottawa that is similar to Visions? Only have my eye on one specific TV, but right now that Sony isn't going down in price much. Still, makes me feel like it will for Black Friday but who knows for sure.

Won't get baited into buying a trash TV for less just because it's a "door crasher", that's for sure.

Just got a quote from teletime online for 55C8 for $1999 early BF price + $189 for 3 year warranty. The store manager said he wouldn't be able to go lower and the $1799 mentioned here was "outdated".

If $1999 is the BF price, I'd rather get it at Costco or Bestbuy instead of Teletime.

Any suggestions?

So I can get $2800 C8 65”. Should I get or wait for $3k w/ 2% cash back and $99 warranty at Costco (and no hassle returns)? Think it’ll hit $3k at Costco?

I'm getting it for 2800 if I can find it at that price. But that's just me

If you're in Toronto $2750. 3K at Costco is unlikely.

Sorry should have noted I am in Calgary. I think $2800 is min. $ to-date.
