Costco.ca have these for the same price, maybe cheaper in store. Add $29.99 for 5 year warranty. The Source has it for $404.99 with coupon code "GET25" ending today, no PSP needed.

49" is only $70 more.
This is the best price-performance TV-as-Monitor out there right now. Standard pixel architecture, IPS screen, good production yields, bluetooth remote, etc.

The below configurations come from the 2018 LG panel, but still may be useful on the 2019.

LG UK6300 Suggested Calibrations for Monitor Use

Word to the wise for folks. This TV loves auto-dimming even in Game Mode, I've fixed it this way...

Settings >> Picture >> Picture Mode Settings = Expert (Bright Mode)

In the 'Picture' tab...

> Additional Settings
HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color: Turn ON

> Energy Savings
Select 'Off'

> Picture Mode Settings
Backlight - 100
Contrast - 95
Brightness - 50
Sharpness - 10
Color - 65
Tint - 0

>> Picture Options
Black Level - Low
Motion Eye Care - Off

>> Expert Controls
Dynamic Contrast - Off
Super Resolution - Off
Color Gamut - Extended
Color Filter - Off
Gamma - 2.4

>>> White Balance
Color Temperature - Cool
Method - 2 Points
Pattern - Outer
Point - High
Red - 0
Green - 0
Blue - 0

>>> Color Management System
Color - Red
Saturation - 0
Tint - 0
Luminance - 0

On Remote: Select Input Button
> All Inputs

Under your HDMI input for your PC
> Click 'Edit Icon'
>> Select 'PC' Icon

Image

Selecting the PC icon for the input disables post-processing garbage and reduces the input delay.

NVIDIA Control Panel Settings

[Above image replaced to reflect recommended 'Full RGB' @ 4:4:4]

You will need an HDMI 2.0 or newer cable to get this to work.

LG UK6300: Security and Convenience Settings

On Remote: Hit Gear button denoting Settings
> All Settings
>> General
>>> QuickStart+: Toggle Off [Known Issue: Resets Input, Blank Input, Turn Off this Garbage.]
>>> Channel Plus: Toggle Off [Security Risk: Third Party Screen-capture for Promotion]
>>> Live Plus: Toggle Off [Security Risk: Third Party Screen-capture for Promotion]

Once you've connected your TV to Wifi or LAN:
>>> About this TV
>>>> Click 'Check for Updates' Button
>>>> Allow Installation to Complete: Pop-up will Notify Completion [If update was needed]

Disconnect Wifi and/or LAN.

If you want to use this LG UK6300 as a pure monitor, the dumber it is, the better.

It's got to be priced $300 or less to be attractive.

i was wondering if anyone knows what are the differences between the 43UM7300AUE and 43UM7300PUA. And whether there are even more 43" models of UM7300. I wanna make sure i make the right decision when time comes :)

Region content probably.

America, Canada, etc.

That said, I'm speculating, I'll look into it.

The Samsung Q60R 43" QLED TV with FreeSync is $900 on sale right now.

FreeSync 43" 4K monitors are around the same price or more, typically.

The LG UM7300 43" may hit $380 to $430 by Back to School, and almost certainly, by Black Friday (possibly even less).

Costco.ca 428$
https://www.costco.ca/LG-43UM7300-43-in ... 93891.html
Perhaps in store is cheaper.
As well as walmart.ca https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/lg-electro ... 0199585514
Bestbuy.ca have it at 430$
https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/lg ... e/13411520

Called Richmond Hill store and have been talked it's only online sale. They couldn't even find what's the product based on item number.

So far the lowest price ever.

The Source supposedly had it for $404 after $25 coupon.

I'd still go with Costco, though. The 5 year warranty at $30 is hard to reject.

i got btw today from bestbuy and oh boy, im impressed. i dont have much experience using external monitors at home. at work i use couple 23" monitors, pretty standard. and the fact that LG OnScreen Control Start software works with this TV its even better as otherwise i couldn't have been able to justify it to my wife. using this software you can split the screen max in 8, which is more than enough. i plan to make a brief video and show how the software works as i couldnt find anything on youtube. some of the setting though are different then the one mentioned in this thread.
Now you got me intrigued with the Costco and their 30$/5 year warranty. i might return this piece and order from costco.
The stand is next.

Costco is definitely a better bet, especially since you don't get any special discount with BestBuy.

If you like the way the screen looks out of the box, just wait until you calibrate it for monitor use.

I'm happy to read that you're pleased so far.
