The Source's price reset to $479.99.

Remaining resellers include Amazon, Visions, and BestBuy at $429.99 or less.

ARGB2101010 reads as 10 bit color depth. The UM7300 is probably outputting that as 8 bit + Dithering which may look almost as good, in this case though, it doesn't pop like you'd see on high gamut panels. I have zero qualms about that as a productivity and casual media TV-as-Monitor, as previously attested.

Do I think this panel is running at 4K60 @ RGB (4:4:4) based on that screenshot? ... Too early for me to tell based on my readings ....

Big caveat here, I struggle to read Mac OS jargon. Most of the RFD heavies are also PC people too, sadly.
You could’ve just said you don’t know.

This TV is a good all-around TV, but a great PC monitor.

Like most IPS panels, colors are decent but black levels, while improved, are not OLED true black.

For the price, it's cheaper than anything else in its performance range. The Samsung RU7100 43" competing TV is $498 and is a VA panel, which is good and bad.

Long story short, there's a good argument that the 43" UM7300 is a respectable TV and a surprisingly good PC monitor.

At larger sizes, other TVs start to compete within their relevant price ranges.
Thanka for the reply. In this case I will wait. I am looking forward to buy a qled pannel, hopefully something nice comes along.

QLED prices are collapsing. If you can wait, you will get a better TV and Console Gaming platform.

As a monitor though, I think we're in the right place and time to go with the LG UM7300 43" 4K IPS TV-as-Monitor. I know you're not asking this particular question, but I'm also sharing this factoid for our audience.

@redflagdealsguy - Couldn't get Quick Start+ to work on my end when in standby, however when the TV's screen saver is up I am able to resume by moving my mouse. Maybe I am missing something on the standby mode, but simplest solution for me now is to have the remote by the keyboard and press the power button. Please let me know if you figure something out when you return. The TV is growing on me every day, despite my wife laughing & shaking her head at my craziness.

FYI if you care about OTA HD, this 2019 is WAY better than the 2018. The 2019 has a Guide that pulls in data for a few days, the 2018 wouldn't. Besides a higher emphasis on inputs than apps in WebOS 4.5 vs 4.0, that's the biggest difference I've noticed is in OTA guide data performance.

Also, My wife hates the Magic Remote... I also don't like it very much, I find the ergonomics poor with the scroll wheel as the select/menu button.
I prefer the older traditional remote but wish that old remote had the voice search in it. Remote codes are compatible, My 2011, 2018, 2019 remotes all work on the TVs.
Always in search of a great deal....

I'm back, thanks for touching base.

The way QuickStart+ is suppose to work is that after screen saver mode time is exhausted, the TV normally turns off. QuickStart+ kicks the TV into standby instead, however, if you leave the computer off for a significantly extended period then the TV will turn off. This is my experience on the LG 2018, whether the LG 2019 is the same remains to be seen.

I'm enabling QuickStart+ and I'll just find out.

If any of you folks discover how to leave this TV in standby permanently, please advise.

Good to know.

It's a love-hate device, I find it grows on you when you know how it operates. It's not Apple-intuitive, but it's highly functional and feels like a quality remote.

Thankfully the cross-generation remote support is there, as well as third party solutions.

@Smokem et al:

Ok, so I've clarified QuickStart+.

While the function is on, your TV will go to screen saver mode after a bit, and then to permanent standby low power mode.

When you hit the power button it will boot up almost immediately, like waking your computer from sleep.

How does this differ from LG 2018? It doesn't, except LG 2019 doesn't reset the input settings like the bug in 2018 would. Furthermore, 2019 is already faster booting up, so QuickStart+ isn't as noticeable of a difference (smaller delta).

Might as well keep it on to minimize annoyance.

Two affirmatives. I've quoted @mcwilly, throwing his sound bar into the first post.

Thanks gents.

FYI, 1.5 hours until this August 29th TV sale ends in EST, 4.5 hours in PST.

bought it from Best Buy and could not be happier about the result! Thank you redflagdealsguy!

Just want to share experience that I have trying to get max resolution on my Lenovo T430s laptop.
It comes with Intel HD Graphics 4000 built in display.
Even with latest driver from Intel, the max resolution i got was 1920*1080.
I followed this guide and was able to get 2560*1440.
The guide also listed out several other types of display.

I just placed an order on London Drugs. Was about the same price as amazon warehouse, as they don't charge provincial tax in Quebec

Just curious did you connect the two using bluetooth, optical, or hdmi?
