Likely Octave Digital Apps fraud credit card charge

Just noticed a $5 usd charge from a few days ago on my TD visa.

A few others have reported same charge on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/PersonalFinanc ... ansaction/

I reported to TD visa fraud dept and rep said a few other td visa customers have reported same.

I rarely use this card. 3 times in last 6 months incl 2x with amazon and 1x with my lawyers.

TD will send me new card.

The same thing has happened to me. How have you disputed this? I'm attempting to call and go on their website and it won't allow me.

Dispute it through your bank/card issuer.

From the reddit thread it looks like they put in a page to collect info on who's been fraudulently billed via their system: https://www.teamoctave.com/support/
It looks like the page was quickly put together with spelling/grammar mistakes - the top left corner link back to the home page doesn't work (tries to go to http://www.teamocatve.com/ instead of https://www.teamoctave.com/). If you look at their homepage there isn't a support section available to the public. It sounds like they are trying to figure out what went wrong and if there's anything on their side.

Sure they may refund you, but the card has been compromised - It will be much safer to get a replacement card because once the fraudster sees an active card, they will try to use it.
