Saw a similar deal at Lindt outlet shop at Winnipeg outlet collection mall couple weeks ago. The products on sale had 1 - 2 month left on their expiry date tho. I guess they are trying to clear out those item since they had been closed and those items were sitting in the shop for last few months.

Probably just clearing out seasonal chocolate that was impacted because of COVID-19. Lindt sales are probably down and they have too much of Easter or whatever holiday stock on hand. Doubt many people buy chocolate year round anyways.

Why would you care? If its just chocolate then there should be no issue.

I got some bunnies last year and the expiry was August, so these are probably the same.

Old milk chocolate starts go white when the ingredients (fat and sugar) start to separate. You can still eat it but it doesn't taste very good.

If it's only "best before", there's a difference!

I was at the Lindt store near Bloor Station today, but they said all stores (at least in GTA) have the same discount.

Easter and best before end of month was 90% off
Best before end of August 80%
... September 70%
Everything else 30%

Some items require purchasing in bulk to get discount.

blue wrapped chocolate wafers, 30g, were 0.66 cents at lindt don mills
bix box of lindt was about $2
bag of lindt was about 1.20$ (same grams as big box of lindt)
this was last Monday

you can just call them and ask them if they have an active sale on and how much discount. Basically ask if they are clearing out any June/July product.

Yeah just make sure it doesn't melt in the car on the way home lol. Though maybe it's not that hot in Winnipeg right now.

Likely true for most of us. I just hope people don't buy it to use for next Easter. I've seen some people post that they get Halloween chocolate on clearance and give it out the next year.
