One problem they encountered is that several of the GCs would not activate. They didn't know why this was happening, but it seemed like only a certain number, or dollar value, of cards could be activated within a certain time period. Can anyone confirm this?
I posted earlier but had one of the three cards did not activate at Fortinos. The first two was valued at $500 and got activated right away but my $100 card failed to activate. Had to go in today to get a refund and CS was nice and just loaded another card for me so I could keep my points. The $100 activated fine today and was able to upload it into my account.

CS meaning customer service? I'm also looking to purchase $4k in cards, was going to try the self-checkout or cashier.

What did they do about the ones that wouldn't activate?

They exchanged the non-activated cards with different ones that successfully activated. They checked the receipt after ringing all the cards through and after I paid and realized that six of the eight didn't activate so they got more cards and did exchanges on each non-activated card. But some of the new cards also didn't activate. So it was kind of a cluster. We had to organize the cards and staple the correct receipts to each card that activated.

At one point they were considering just refunding me for the cards that didn't activate, but luckily a couple activated and so they kept going until there were eight activated cards.

The offer might be expired now, even though points days is extended. If it's still on, just go to CS and tell them that you want to buy $4k worth of Apple cards using the offer and you understand that you can only purchase this amount at CS. Ask them to check the points awarded for the first couple of cards. The system should flag them that it is over the $500 limit when ringing in the second $500 card at which point they will either override the system or tell you they can't do it. If they override the system make sure to check that you are awarded all the points before paying. If they tell you they can't do it, just go to a different store and try again.

Cool thx. I’ll probably do the same in a few more days.

Has it been a while since you submitted the points inquiry?

Nope I had just submitted it just before I came to this thread and saw your post. Will update when I hear from them, so far I got the generic "we are receiving higher that average volume" crap... I don't think companies know what "average" means when their volumes are always high...

I didn’t get it yet either, but it also hasn’t been 3 weeks. So I will wait until Thursday and see, if I don’t get it by Thursday morning, I will submit a request!
