I really doubt that they monitor RFD to fix bugs. I say this because of past deals where it was three weeks long, and you could get four items for $4 (asparagus, broccoli, carrots, lettuce, onions, remember?) and got back 4,000 points. Those were never "fixed". See pics.

I submitted a points inquiry. Let's see.
6.99 for 500g is warm. Bought 10 anyways.

I bought the only 4 BBQ ribs left at my SDM, tagged at $12.99, total $52. Perfect because I also have a 20K/$50 personal offer.

Scanned higher so CSR deducted $8 off the first 2 instead of applying SCOP of $14.99 off one? Works for me. Got an extra $1 off.

Because of SCOP, I topped off the $50 purchase with 2 Ben & Jerry’s using $2 coupon.

Not bad. Paid $48 and got back 45K in pts worth upwards of $67.

This ended up just as good as the potential deal this thread was about :)

I recommend trying at SDM so you can stack a large personal offer and if they are priced at $12.99 (which is the same price as No Frills and RCSS)

Ribs and B&J for the summer BBQ!

Bought 4 for $8.99 each at my local Loblaws.

Stupidly forgot to get the receipt, but didn't see any points register so I just put in a request through the app. Hopefully I get my 24K points, otherwise they're getting returned

Based on the $8.99 price, it seems like you bought the wrong 500g box. As noted in this thread, the pts offer is for the larger 680g box priced at $12.99 at Loblaws in ON.

Also, call the store first to find out if the ribs will be thrown away if you return them. If so, you may consider keeping them instead of wasting it. Take it as a learning experience and carefully follow the threads as well as the terms and conditions of any offer.

Plus you don’t have a receipt so you will likely be denied a return. Also the app doesn’t detail the purchases on the transaction.

How is this even a question?
They would obviously not be resold.
Throwing them out is the only safe path if they are returned.

So the answer is pretty clear for that poster. He should keep the ribs - pts or no pts.

I personally never returned food ever because of that reason.

Plus I wanted him to find that out himself. And he doesn’t even have a receipt.

Well the offer was applicable to the 500g box at one time. My store still has signage up.

Well that's different! The original app offer was corrected well before the start date of this offer.

But since it's advertised in-store, then you have a case! But promo is over today so hope you took a pic of the signage before they're taken down. Or if you're out west (stores are still open), go to the CS desk immediately to have the pts credited.

I misestimated the expiry date. It's still good for Wednesday until store closing.

I bought the ribs at SDM for $14.99 each box
First SDM I checked out only had 500g boxes for $12.99 didn't want to chance it
One dollar would've been fantastic but I can live with $4 per box of super sugary ribs (after an additional 25K PCO on $75 purchase)

Same here. Included OP's screenshot of the original offer including 500g packages. They did have to escalate it to a "specialist."

There was another guy buying a stack at the same time as me (right at open in the AM lol, hello fellow RFDer). I'm not positive but I think he may have gotten the points immediately anyway.

No play, no win!

You know, I was contemplating doing what you did all week. Buy them anyway at 500g, and hope for the best from a points inquiry. But the thought of being stuck with 10 boxes of ribs at 6.99 each, and I'm also pretty low on freezer space as it is, won't be as enjoyable if got them at 99c.

I'm happy for you that the gamble paid off. Enjoy those cheap ribs.

My points request went through! So 24K points, but lesson learned about double checking that I'm buying exactly what's listed in the offer

Nice! Great deal for you and the others who were able to get in on the 500g boxes!

Also I just noticed you paid $8.99 per box? Did you forget to scan your optimum card to trigger the $6.99 price?

If so, go to the CS desk and ask for a $8 credit for the 4 boxes.
