You need something next to the cherries like a quarter coin so we can see the relative size. I went to Loblaws in Ottawa and their colossal was at best equal to Metro jumbo

Collosal is all marketing IMO unless they tell me more info about sizing like they do with shrimp.

3. Size
3.1 Fair Size
Means that not less than 65% of the cherries are of a size characteristic of the variety when mature and that variation in size is not sufficient to seriously detract from the general appearance of the lot.

For varieties such as Bing, Lambert, Star, Sam, Van, Chinook, Stella, Vista, Venus, Schmidt, Windsor and Hedelfingen, at least 65% of the lot must be 12/16 inches minimum diameter.
For other varieties at least 65% of the lot must be 11/16 inches minimum diameter.

I don't know, I got some colossal cherries from Costco and they are as big as a quarter with some going up to the size of a loonie. Biggest of the season that I have found.

I am still surprised they have these on sale. Bought some there last week at that price.

Just curious, were these American or Canadian? Bought some BC cherries from Costco yesterday at $3 per lb. Don't mind shelling out a bit more for local.

You need to take a better photo. The cherry is closer to the camera so of course it will look bigger than the loonie in the distance.

They are American. I have a hard time finding Ontario cherries in my area since covid. I also cannot locate Ontario peaches either... Not sure where they all went!

Ontario Cherries are just about done for the season. Have only found them at a local organic grocery store.
Ontario Peaches are just coming into season now. 2021 crop expected to be bigger than last year.

Was there earlier. Upped them to $2.99 per lb. Looked good but I passed as I have a 3lb container from Costco that I haven't opened yet. If you are a local, you might find them at Sun Valley @ Six Points plaza. I still see Ontario strawberries but they're too expensive ($8 for a pint) for my blood. Isn't peach season Aug and Sept? I actually prefer American peaches to our local. I had a unbelievable batch from Costco that originated from California awhile back.
