[Loblaws] JVC 58 inch UHD LED TV $369 + 120,000 in PC Optimum points

Was at a Lobalws on Friday and saw JVC 58 inch UHD LED TVs for $369 plus get 120,000 in optimum points.

Likely at Zehrs, Fortinos as well.

The JVC TV brand was licensed to the Taiwan manufacturer AmTran until 2018, when that license was acquired by Shenzhen MTC, a Chinese TV company. The TVs are marketed here in the U.S. by JMC, a company based in Irvine, Calif. JVC is among the brands that sell smart TVs using the Roku TV platform.

I guess it's another previous popular midlevel brand name sold off to some company that makes low level TVs.

Sad that such a previously well known brand also go the brand licensing route to some Chinese OEM manufacturer.

I saw 10 JVC around 4pm yesterday Friday at Loblaws - Bayview and High Tech Road. They put all the electronics on the second floor now.

I was wondering where their electronics went ... I thought the 2nd floor was for the fitness centre.

Nostalgia hitting hard, parents bought JVC TV + VCR (4 head!) in 1994. Both were still usable 20 years later, but had to throw them out to make space!

Thats when they were made in Japan to last! I still have my 4 head hifi VHS - sitting beside the stacks of Disney movies.

Anyway, so 120,000 pc points is like $120 cashback?
How the heck am I supposed to sell my 8 year old 55 inch Samsung now lol.

remember our first VCR was JVC too way back in the very late 80's. It was so well-reputed brand then, along with Sony and Panasonic.

I still have an LCD 48 inch 1080p JVC that I bought back in 2009. It actually has an old-style iPod/iPhone charging dock on it.
