Bottled too. Bought a 2L bottle a year ago that was about a month over its expiration date. Flatter than my... the soda was so flat, it was repulsive. Never again.

This was one advantage of soda in glass bottles as it didn't lose its fizz compared to plastic. It's a proven fact I was surprised to learn.
Dunno about aluminium though.
