[Loblaws / Shoppers Drug Mart] YMMV PC Optimum 1000 pts ($1) for every $5 spend on Electronics

Expiry:
May 13, 2020
Saw this offer in my app, which I haven't seen before. I'm surprised it applies to Loblaws stores and SDM. Essentially 20% off on electronics. Potential for combining with other offers, for instance I have another offer to earn 20,000 ($20) points if I spend $60 at SDM.

It studies your purchases from the past I guess and delivers offers accordingly so may not be for everyone

Looks like SDM has some specific items at 20x pts (30%). It would be nice if it can be combined with the other offer.

wait, what if I also have the 20x points offer on top of that, no way this stacks right?

I guess this is the exact x20 event store wide. SDM just advertises in this way to make it looks more attractive.

Not sure. I think they should stack.

So does anyone's Loblaws store actually carry electronics?
All the ones in Ottawa seem to have gotten rid of their electronics section in the past few years.

I think you are misunderstanding Nexus question. They are thinking 20x for product plus 20x total spend might stack (which pretty sure it won't).

All i got was 40% back on 50k points and buy one get one free. The electronics would have been good as i need a new pair of headphones.

They might, actually. One is X pts back for $X, and the other is 20x points. Usually it's the 20x + (5x, etc) that don't stack. I'll try it tonight.

I have 15,000pts for $60 on anything - so 25% back - if I can stack that with 20x points (30%) that's 55% back. And if I redeem them during the redeem your points events. that ends up adding another 50% of the points, so like 75% back, total.

The one thing that def won't happen is 20x the 15,000 pts, though. Face With Tears Of Joy

What is Loblaw's? Haven't had one of those in Thunder Bay since they destroyed the last one to put in the Casino 20 years ago...

Product 20x and personal 20x DO stack. However, the items in question here who knows if they meant to advertise 20x with the product or the 20x flyer offer for the weekend.

This one is a tricky one.

Do Shoppers carry the Genesis Mini?
My last and final digital game I purchased at PSN from those Sony Devils was on November 22, 2020 - Ban that Sorny!

I have seen them in store before, can’t think of any off the top of my head recently, call around.

Buy the headphones with 40% back in points if you have the points to cover the cost, it’s the best redemption offer you can get.

This is not a tricky one if any of you would bother to actually read the flyer before posting your speculations... The 20x in the flyer was a store wide event on Saturday May 9th, if you bothered to read the flyer you’d see in those little tiny 20x bubbles it actually says May 9. Considering it’s now well past that date it’s now a mute point.

To put it to bed for you guys this offer is a personal department offer, and should stack with a personal store wide offer (I.e. 20x in your app, 20K back for every/over $60 spend). Anything beyond that will be YMMV and will likely require pts inquiries and will probably be denied.

I think this 20x was a weekend load and get event.

Shoulda woulda coulda is one thing, half this thread is pure speculation on offers stacking that never even coincided on the same day... People reading that could assume they’d get a better deal than actually available (like the guy who somehow thinks he’s gonna get 55% back in pts combining 2 store wide offers). Sorry for being one of the few who has a decent grasp on how the optimum program works.
