Was hoping for a deal on an actual split keyboard where it's two pieces. I would love to replace my Kinesis split with a mechanical split that doesn't break the bank. Something like the Moonlander kb but cheaper would be amazing.

My Logitech G613 has insane chatter even with different batteries. After spending a pretty penny and experiencing terrible quality I’ve forgone any Logitech purchases. Just fyi

Same here, I've been so unimpressed with Logitech products from the past I don't touch them anymore. I took a gamble on the MX Master 3 but sent it back, really unimpressed with it. Build quality seemed suspect and the scroll wheels were awful.

This is what I ended up with for an ergo keyboard and mouse:

Having a removable numbpad was important for me because it allows you to move the keyboard and mouse closer together, making it a bit more ergonomic as you don't need to "reach" as far between the two.

It also includes a magnetic piece not pictured that raises the wrist area to force you not to rest on your wrists while typing. Its surprisingly effective.

i have two of these (office precovid and home). I like the ergonomics of the keyboard. The key layout is more natural for me. Only pet peeve is the wrist "pillow" isnt removable; so i get some dirt inbetween the keyboard and the wrist guard.

also i use two different computers at my workstation, so changing between the devices is convenient without needing another keyboard.

Yup.

It should be like the Microsoft Sculpt keyboard with a separate number pad.

I have this Ergo K860 and the Vertical mouse and the battery life on the keyboard has been great. About 1 year of use per set of batteries. Working from home...it gets used every weekday and even some weekends.

The MX Vertical mouse is rechargeable and I get at least 3 months out of each charge...but it only takes an couple hours max to charge it fully.

I haven't had battery problems with these products for the past few years (since I started working from home)...so probably YMMV.

I have the set up keyboard screen but the mouse is terrible. No feel to it at all. The buttons stops clicking and I have to dismantle it and clean it. What a pain.

I'''ve also had too many Logitecch pppprooooooooooooduuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucts crap ouuut on me and become seriously annoying.
Currently this K810 (wireless/compact) keybd. - was not cheap, caaame with a 3 yr. warranty, had to be replaced under warranty one time inside 6 mon., and has been disconnecting or repeating characters as seem above for the past year or more. This is how it currently works - intermittantly. It is bluetooth and replacing the usb BT receiver (Asus and TP-Link) didn't help. The first k810 connected to a Linux Mint htpc and worked fine until failure. The replacement would NOT connect to the same system - even after chasing down specific steps to get it to connect to a Linux install from a forum post. That also ddidn't work, so after way too many hours chasing down a sol'n, I gave up and went back to Windows - wwhere it does woork. Now this flakey repeating characters.
Logitech is not worth anything to me .... however they could pay me to use their products in the future.

I was just looking into getting a split design as well.. How do you have it placed on your desk? Where do you have your mouse?

I tried everything out there to replace my kinesis, nothing come close to it. Even more so if you want to forego the numpad (like with the kinesis and MS sculpt) to get a more ergonomic typing position.

I used to exchange broken Microsoft sculpt every 8 months with an extended warranty, but it does not even last that long now, quality went to crap.

It may break the bank but checkout the Kinesis Freestyle Pro or Edge. Both are identical except the Edge has RGB lighting.
I have used both and ordered 100s of the Pro for employees with injuries or trying to avoid them.

I've had this exact keyboard for around 2 years. It's hands down the best keyboard I've ever had. Especially in terms of being wireless.

Very comfortable (I typically use it on my lap). Great range. Great battery life. And durable as hell! I've dropped this on a hard floor numerous times. Even to the point where the unit opened up at the seam due to loosening the screws. I just pop it back together, retighten the screws, and it's good as new. I use it with my laptop connected to my 75" panel TV and about 15 feet away. And it types perfectly and is very responsive.

My only 2 gripes are: The white lettering/numbering on the oft-used keys wear off too easy. And, I wish it had backlighting.

The layout was the same as a normal KB + mouse set, except the keyboard was further apart than any one piece KB could place my hands. The middle space was a great place for my phone :D

Have you tried the DIY ErgoDox keyboards by chance? Seems like it *could* be a potential option as well?

I love the Microsoft Sculpt, but it hasn't been the most reliable for us at the office. 3/5 of my employees have had to replace theirs within 2 years, due to connectivity issues / keyboard dying. The individual keyboard/mouse/numpad can't be replaced on it's own because the wireless receiver isn't reprogrammable.

Thinking of giving this K860 a try, with the added benefit of the reprogrammable unifying receiver.

This is great, the stackable coupons bring the kb+mouse+mat combo down to $194.98 + tax, thanks.

Thank you everyone for your contribution.
I bought the K860 & MX Vertical from Staples a week ago with $10 coupon. Pre-tax about $240.
With the two coupon codes mentioned, now with the free desk mat ($29.99 value) and M535 mouse ($29.99), the pre-tax amount is now $201.97.
This is a saving of about $38, but with free desk mat and M535.

Good deal imo.
