Are Logitech Harmony Remotes discontinued? If so, where can I grab a 650 or 665?

My Harmony 880 has died... why can't I find any stock of newer models like 650, 665, 700?

Vision's and the source seem to have limited stock of the 665 and the Harmony Home hub depending on where you are. Some 3rd party sellers on amazon / bestbuy too. Not sure where you are located, but the last harmony remote i got was from a Shaw cable retail store in a mall.

I believe the 650 and 700 are long discontinued. The price above is pretty terrible but at least it's available.

Refurb from a marketplace seller, avoid, avoid, avoid. The Source has the 665 for $70 in store only, a lot of stores are OOS but not all. https://www.thesource.ca/en-ca/tvs-home ... /108080988

665 you mean.

BTW OP, IMO the 665 is a better model than both the 650 and 700, because it increases the device limit to 10. The 700 is rechargeable, but I prefer using my own batteries. That way you never need to plug in the remote to charge it. However, the 665 does restart when dropped from chair height though, like the 650. The $150 Harmony Companion is a big step backward, since it doesn't have a screen on the remote.

WTF? A refurb 665 for $88.99? The retail new price is $69.99.

Now I'm starting to wonder if I should pick up 1-2 of these just as backups. I don't feel like paying $400 for a Harmony Elite, and I don't like using a phone as a remote.

I love my Harmony 700 because it handles up to 8 devices and I can use rechargeable AA Batteries inside. I charge the batteries inside the 700 with a usb phone charger and micro usb cable. I just throw it on the charger every few days overnight.

Just a note that the 665 supports 10 devices. Both the 650 and 700 support 8.

The 650 used to only support 5, but then they changed the software which increased it to 8. The stupid part if you transferred an existing remote with 8 devices to the 650, it would work just fine with 8, even with that software that limited it to 5. However, if you programmed it as a new remote, it would be limited to 5. So that 5 limitation was artificial.

I have the 700 working with 5 devices (TV, Apple TV, AVR, disc player and an old WDTV box). I doubt I will need more than that. When my 700 dies, I'd like to get another Harmony of some type.

There's been rumblings online for a bit now about Logitech pretty much abandoning these things. With no new updates to the product stack in years and limited availability of the current models I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case.

Nobody knows. Logitech says "not discontinued" (see https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/commu ... ony?page=1 ). But there's no doubt that they are out of stock almost everywhere, and Logitech has a habit of denying everything up until the day they belatedly announce that they killed off the product months ago.

All Harmony remotes produced lately are branded "Logi" instead of "Logitech". Maybe they are trying to spin it off, since apparently it has never been profitable for them.

Maybe they will keep the hub products, and get rid of the standalone IR remotes.

I bought a 665 recently at Visions. It has considerable delays when switching TV inputs, even with all the adjustments I could think of. I wouldn't recommend it.

https://www.visions.ca/product-detail/4 ... 8&sku=H665

visions has them on final clearance witch normally means they have no plan to restock.2001 a/v deleted there listing for the 665 https://www.crutchfield.ca/S-e16wlt8gpm ... y-665.html crutch field has it marked Discontinued item most other stores that use to carry them have deleted.

even Logitechs own site has it marked sold out.

if u can find one for a fair price some place id suggest getting one now or when stock is fully gone it will just be skelpers selling them for stupid prices.

I have never understood the facination with harmony remotes, and have been using cheap jp1 remotes for nearly 20 years.

Google jp1 remotes for info

Buy a cheap ftdi board from aliexpress and re-program a 1056b03 remote that are widely available as they were used by all the cable providers.
Make macros, keymoves, add discrete codes, add/customize new devices, etc
