Last summer I was trying to buy a 6-8 person tent but they are OOS everywhere.
This year stock seems to be there but for $100, it is a deal.

Which one is better sporting life vs London drug?
If they are same, probably better to go with sporting life due to return policy of 60 days vs 15 days of London drugs?

Is this or the red one at Sporting Life the models that block light a bit from the outside?

Thx OP. In for one.

The ability to fit 2 queen air mattresses is awesome.

How does the "light block technology" help? Prevents the tent from warming up inside?

If you check here, it says, "Dark Room™ technology blocks 90% of sunlight so you can sleep in past sunrise; reduces heat inside tent (vs. a comparable Coleman® tent) for a more comfortable rest anytime of day"

Don't know about any thermal advantages with the light blocking tech, but when the sun comes up at 4-5am in the summer and you don't have a sleep mask on, you tend to wake up a lot earlier than you're used to. With the light blocking tech, I'd assume you can sleep in much later since the sun won't be in your eyes

I was gifted this tent in its smaller 4-person essentially. But it is a different brand if I remember correctly. Lightweight for its size, easy to set up, and works well. I would not use it in the heavy rain season, but as a summer tent for campsite tenting. I would consider this a basic starter tent. 4 people would never fit, but a queen size air mattress does just fine
Mobile: $18.13/month BYOD - 12GB Data, 1000 LD Min. (Koodo)
$50 plan + $23 phone - $4.16 trade-in credit - $33.33 phone resell - $5.51 plan credit - $11.87 VISA GCs = $18.13/month!
Internet: $82.90 - 750/100 Mbps (Lightspeed)
Spotify: $20 USD/year

Just to piggyback off what you said, a general rule of thumb is how many ever people the tent can claim to sleep, divide that in half for a realistic expectation. In addition, if it is expected to rain, NEVER rely on the included rainfly. Always bring a heavy duty tarp (like the Costco two for $30) and set that up above your tent.
