[London Drugs] HP OMEN 32inch Gaming Monitor with AMD FreeSync $349.99

Saw it on the store. Don't know if this is a good monitor, but I thought someone may need it.

Would this be a better buy then the HP?
No free sync but 144hz and curved. Depends if you're going to game on it I guess. My wife couldn't really tell the difference between 60 and 75 hz and even I barely can. I definitely don't think I can tell 75 from 144. Buy both and test, 15 day return policy.

I just picked up the last omen yesterday from Broadway. Very well built. No dead pixels, seems to be working with gsync, works great with freesync.

Not the lowest price but low enough for me to pull the trigger.

Least was $330 from HP (after $50 coupon) couple of years ago.

Rocking this monitor for one and half year now, solid basic monitor as long as you have proper expectation for a 32" VA panel monitor at $350 price point. Though I'm now a bit skeptical on HP quality since this morning wife's HP spectre laptop charger just died.

I've had the Omen 32 for over two years now and really love it!

DISCLAIMER: I neither advocate or guarantee performance of my ICC profile that I'm sharing. Use it at your own risk.

For you RFD'rs who purchased this monitor and are looking for a calibrated colour profile, I've made it available for downloading here... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2HJUB ... sp=sharing

Custom Mode for Gaming (w/ Freesync) Settings Feb 26/17:
Color Temp @ 6500K
Brightness @ 32 (109-110 cd/m2)
Contrast @ 80 (Dynamic Contrast = OFF)
R @ 252
G @ 255
B @ 240

The ICC profile above was created with a Colormunki Display calibrator and DisplayCal software early on when I first got my monitor so you new owners should be the ones trying to apply it. As always, YMMV when it comes to results or if it "looks" better to you. If it doesn't, then just remove it. If you don't know how to add or remove ICC profiles on your PC, then you probably shouldn't do it, lol. Seriously though, please don't PM me asking for instructions or a how to guide as Google is your best friend for that.
