[London Drugs] LG 55” C1 - $1499.99 - YMMV

London drugs has the LG 55” C1 model on sale as a manager’s special. I originally heard it from someone saying the LD at kits had it so I checked the one on Broadway and it was indeed $1499.99. I’m going to say this is YMMV since it is a managers special as the website shows $1699.99.

Once u have tried OLED in a moderate to dark room, its hard to go back to a LED. Go with a LED if u have a bright room.

How is the C1 compare to the A1 posted on other thread, I think from Costco?

What makes this TV so great?

The C1 is slightly brighter than the A1 and is 120hz refresh rate with all 4 ports being HDMI 2.1 vs the 60hz on the A1. The A1 also has wider legs vs the centre stand on the C1 which redirects sounds from the bottom firing speakers to the front.

To add on to Op's reply
The newer c1 models (most after oct/nov 2021) also have the EVO panels (WBE) which are a bit brighter and has burn in prevention

So there are different C1 releases? How can one tell if it’s the newer model?

They are the same c1 model, just with updated panel, the original older OLED panel (WBC) is from Paju, while the new and improved EVO OLED panels (WBE) are from Guangzhou
To check if you have EVO panel, go to the service menu and if you see WBE then it's EVO.
