[London Drugs] LG C2 TVs 42" $1350, 48" $1400, 65" $2000, 83" $7000 YMMV

"Managers Special" tagged LG C2 OLEDS at Brentwood location in Burnaby.

42" $1350
48" $1400
65" $2000
83" $7000
77" might have been $3500 (or $3800) but the tag was separated as that was the TV on display

Any one knows if it is possible to get the C1 or C2 55' from one of the retailers in GTA for ~$1200-1300? Really waiting on the sidelines for it

I think the smaller sizes are worth buying at this price

Buying the 77" is crazy though

There's a reasonable chance the 77" qdoled from Samsung will be $4k or under and it is going to be a VASTLY superior tv

Fair. I picked the 77” up for $3799 from Costco, so the price point was good.

You're going to be on the sidelines until all stock is gone.

I’m guessing these are gonna go on sales pretty often, now that LG is coming out with C3. These are great to use as an pc monitor too, the 42 inch one.

No burn in issues as a PC monitor? Serious question as I'd think there were more items that remain static in PC use (eg. taskbar).

For gaming or media it will be fine and these are getting popular for people using consoles / gaming PCs. But if you work from home and need a monitor strictly for that I would stick to IPS panels for text clarity and burn-in prevention. I have seen lots of OLEDs with burn-in used in static environments and an IPS monitor may easily beat a TV at text clarity depending on how far you sit.

OLEDs screens are in laptops all over the place now. There never seems to be a big concern with them being used in a PC, why so much concern for OLED TVs used as PC monitors? The LG C2 42 is the perfect size for a single monitor setup. Bought one from Costco and love it. There's so many protection features nowadays in OLED screens it's not the same as it was years ago

Best buys geek squad open box

It was $3300 for 77 or $4500 for the 83"

I didn't buy because I didn't think it was worth $1000 for an extra 6" considering that's the same jump in price as an extra 12 to go from 65 to 77

Still love my c1. I don’t think any other display has official gsync certification over hdmi. Many non certified displays flicker with vrr on.
