Great little BBQ and on sale for 50% off. I use it all the time when I go to Jack Darling park.

I have the XL version of this bbq (different color) and love it!
Very convenient to use and came with a bag and charcoal starter, and small charcoal bag!

One problem is that since the coals aren't in direct contact with food, you don't get a strong charcoaly taste, also cleanup is some work, but you can dress it's botton surface with aluminum foil or something, then it's pretty easy

Wow so it doesn’t get hot on the outside. So what’s the consensus on this product? Looks like one could theoretically charcoal on a condo balcony. There’s obviously going to be some smoke but if you can handle this thing while it’s hot I mean that’s sort of impressive and much safer too.

I may just buy one for casual beach days.

Isn't there a fire ban on, so these things can't even be used right now?

Since it's smokeless, can it be used indoors?

I don't think charcoal indoors is ever a good idea, smokeless or not...

It looks very portable, could be good for beach days.

As for usage on a condo balcony, someone on this thread said it doesn't have a strong charcoal taste to it and let's be honest, people use charcoal for the taste. All the hassle without the taste, you might as well get a propane BBQ. Actually, you might just use an oven instead of this Lotus grill since there ain't lot of flame action going on, if any.

Thanks not buying as a result. Agreed if no charcoal taste stick to propane and propane accessories

To be more specific, the comparison would be to use the broiler in your oven. This appears to cook entirely using radiant heat (which is exactly what you want to get proper searing/browning on steaks & burgers).
